Cake for you! I had seen the Nugget Cake tutorial on Splitcoaststampers recently and thought this would be perfect for Halloween! I have a few friends who love this holiday and thought this would be the perfect treat.
The hardest part was finding round containers to use to support the cake – but I did – and they were all from Stampin’ Up! products! For the top layer, I used the lid of an empty Embossing Powder container, the middle layer uses an empty button container and the bottom layer uses two empty ribbon rolls. Great way to recycle those empty containers!
The Designer Series Paper used to wrap around the nuggets is from the Halloween Nights Specialty paper – great way to use up scraps as each nugget is wrapped in a 1″ x 3″ piece of DSP. All the embellishments were die cut with the Halloween Scenes Framelits. I used a retired brad and the retired Circle Framelits for the cake topper as well as the separate layers.
So happy I gave this tutorial a try – what fun to make and I think the recipient will be very happy!
Thanks for stopping by!
