Hi! How are you today? It is pretty chilly here this morning in Massachusetts.
Before I get to my project for today, I want to Congratulate Diane! She is the winner of the card set posted last week! I’ll send you an email Diane so you can send me your address!
So, on to today’s project. I am making some little treat bags for co-workers and thought I’d share them with you.
Isn’t he cute? I used the Gift Bag Punch Board to make the little bag. My base is 6″ x 10″. Use the Small setting on the board. After you have punched and scored the bag, flip it over so the front panel is lined up with the Start Line and punch and make the horizontal score line. Move to the next vertical score line and punch and make the horizontal score line. After this punch, just score the horizontal line across the rest of the paper. You will then trim off from that second punch along the horizontal score line to the end. You should have this (without the stamping) when you are done:
I then stamped his face – the eyes and mouth use the dot from the question mark or exclamation point in the Letters For You set. The nose uses half the heart from Work of Art – but you could also use the bottom of the exclamation point from Letters for You – it would be perfect! (Why didn’t I use it then? Because I had already inked up the dot from the exclamation point for the eyes and mouth and thus couldn’t use it).
Place Tear & Tape on the left most flap pictured above as well as the back side of the flap under his mouth. Fold on all your score lines and form your bag.
Once the bag was made, I then used the smallest hand-held hole punch to punch two small holes on the flap above his eyes. I used these holes as my guide for the holes on the back side of the bag so I could run bakers twine to close the flap. Here is the back side:
I was able to place 5 Hershey Kisses and 2 Lindt Chocolates in my little bag.
The hat is made with a 2 3/4 x 1/2″ strip of Basic Black card stock, a piece of black punched from the Decorative Label punch and the Real Red stitched ribbon.
I hope my co-workers like them!
