Hi! Today I am sharing a gift that I am making for some very special dance teachers. Thanks so much to Kelea Nevis for the idea!
I just LOVE how these turned out. The coasters were purchased at the Dollar Tree store and are sandstone. The background three colors are already on the coaster – making these quick and easy to mass produce. The ink is Basic Black Archival ink and the image and sentiment are from the Beautiful You stamp set.
Here is a closer view of one coaster:
I hope they like them!
Next I am going to try to make some with a different tile and the High Tide stamp set. With Father’s Day next month – I think they’ll make a nice gift.
Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry I missed this blog last week. Love the coasters!!!!
Do you have to put a finish on after stamping?
No finish is necessary!! These are self absorbing sandstone coasters the image will not fade or come off!
Nice! Sure hope I can find them at the dollar store! Thank you!
I am wondering the same. Do you put a finish coat if anything after stamping? Absolutely love these!!
No finish is necessary on these coasters! They are self-absorbing sandstone coasters and will hold up without the finish.
These are so gorgeous. When I saw the coaster I wondered how you did the background. I have been trying to resist purchasing the Beautiful You stamp set because I have many stamp sets I haven’t used yet but with all of the lovely cards and now this great gift idea I just may have to give in.
The coasters already have the background on them – which made these so quick to make! I loved how different this set is from all my other sets – which is why it is in my collection!
I’m so excited this was a winning project and that everyone has been able to make wonderful creations from this idea. I know all the “mom’s” loved them at church for Mother’s day. Thank you for your acknowledgement. Happy stamping!
Does the tiles come that color and you just stamped with black archival ink?
Hi Betty – You are correct – the tiles were in those colors and I just stamped in Black Archival ink.
