More Fun…

With Glossy Paper!!  Here is the last card attendees made at the Glossy Cardstock class.  I LOVE this card!!

The faux wood technique was used to make the background on this card.  Such a great background for a masculine card.  Here are the steps:

1. Drag the Crumb Cake ink pad down the cardstock to cover it.  I held the pad at an angle so the top edge of the ink pad touched the cardstock.  I did 2 passes for complete coverage.
2. Tilt the Crumb Cake ink pad at an angle so just the corner of the pad touches the Card stock and drag it down again to get darker grain lines
3. Tilt the Early Espresso ink pad at an angle so just the corner of the pad touches the card stock.  As you drag it down, rotate the pad up and down as you drag to get more or less ink on the card (the more you tilt it down, the wider the strip of Early Espresso.
4. Repeat 3 once or twice depending on how many darker grain lines you want on your card.

The tree is from Lovely as a Tree.  That panel was created by inking a clear acrylic block D – the bottom with Pear Pizzazz and the top with Soft Sky, then spritz with water before stamping the clear block on the Whisper White panel.  The Tree was then stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.

I didn’t add my sentiment yet – but will add that to the bottom – it will most likely become a birthday card – but thought I’d wait to see what I need it for.
