Hi. How are you today? I hope doing well. Did you get some crafty time in over the weekend? I did! I had a class on Friday night featuring the Sharing Sweet Thoughts RMHC set and then on Saturday I did a workshop for a lovely hostess. One of the cards I shared with them, was this card on Watercoloring.
The background is created using an Aquapainter and watercolor paper. The colors from bottom to top are Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Pool Party. The image is stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink. I was very happy with how it turned out and the guests just loved it.
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped in Basic Black Archival ink as well.
The base layer is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ on the 8 1/2″ side. The Crumb Cake layer is 4 x 5 1/4″. The water color paper is 2 1/2 x 4 1/4″ making the black layer 2 3/4 x 4 1/4″. I tied a piece of Linen Thread around the image to finish it off. This is a very quick card and just needs a little drying time – which you can speed up with a heat gun if needed. I highly recommend letting the watercolor dry completely before stamping the image.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project! You can find all elements used on this card in my on-line store here.
