Lots of Love – Stamp It Blog Hop

Hi!  Welcome to the Team Stamp It Valentine’s Day Blog Hop!  Today is all about the love!  My project features the Painted with Love Suite.

Painted With Love, Valentines, Hearts, Stampin' Up!, SU!, StampItBlogHop

I am so happy with how my box and card turned out!  The box uses the Lots to Love Box Framelits!  So cool to get multiple projects from one die set!  The Designer paper for both projects is from the Painted with Love Specialty Paper – I love the gold foil touch to this paper!   My colors for both projects are Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Gold Foil.

For the card, I added a Basic Black mat behind the Designer Paper- I felt it helped make the card pop.  I used both the Layering Squares and Stitched Shapes Framelits to create the frame behind the heart.  While it is a little hard to see, there is gold thread behind the frame.  I wound the thread loosely around my spread fingers a few times then twisted it to make an 8 and taped it to the center of the card.  The frame is popped up with mini dimensionals.  I embossed the heart with one of the Petal Pair TIEFs.  The sentiment for the card is stamped in Melon Mambo ink.  I added two metallic enamel hearts to match the box.

Now, for the box!  The box itself is made using the Lots to Love Box Framelits.

Die cut 4 of the sides, remove the side tabs from 2 of them and then score 2″ from the bottom (the flat end) for each piece.

Next, remove the two little top tabs and the bottom tabs below your 2″ scoreline on the two pieces that still have tabs.

Place Tear & Tape on the back side of the remaining tabs:

Adhere tabs to side pieces and attach together:

Fold in the middle to attach the last tab to form the box.  Use Tear & Tape seal the bottom flaps.

For the sides, use Designer Series Paper mats that are 2 3/4 x 2 3/4″ square.

For the top, I used the 3rd largest Oval Framelit from the Layering Ovals bundle and cut in half to cover two of the top flaps.  You will also need a 2 3/4 x 1/2″ strip to cover the space between the flap score lines.

Fold in the top flaps like this:

Decorate as desired!

I adore this box, it is so cute! I can’t wait to order and receive this set when I host our Stampin Up group later this month!

    1. Actually – this is a differnt take on using the dies – the original box is rectangular and needs only 2 of the pieces. Thanks for visiting!

  3. #stampitcontest Wish the granddaughters, daughter and DIL liked purple. They may get it anyway since I love it. Great box and card.

  5. I love this great box. Would it be possible to see a video of you making the box? A visual always helps me. Thanks
