One More To Whet Your Appetite

Hi! Today I have one more card using the Share What You Love Bundle!  The deadline for ordering your bundle and getting FREE goodies with it is almost over.  So, maybe this one will tempt you to place that order!

Birthday, Love What You Do, Share What You Love, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2018AnnualCatalog

I also shared how to make this card in May 22nd’s Tuesday With Teresa on my Facebook page.  Here’s the video – it is the first card:

This is a tri-fold card – thus why the front looks a little off in the picture above.  Here is the card open:

I love different fold cards – they add a little something more to the card.  This card will still fit in an A2 envelope.

Here are the dimensions and scoring for the card:

  • Base – 4 1/4 x 11″ – score at 3 3/4″ and 8 3/4″ on the 11″ side
  • Inside Panel – 4 3/4″ x 4″
  • Front Left Panel – 3 1/2″ x 4″
  • Front Right Panel – 2″ x 4″

To finish off this card, I stamped Happy Birthday from the Perennial Birthday stamp set and flowers and leaves from the Love What You Do stamp set.   This is punched out with the 1 3/4″ circle punch and layered on a 2″ circle punch.   This is then attached to a Pearlized doily.   The doily is attached to just the right front panel.

The leaves on the inside are stamped in Tranquil Tide.

This product suite is sure to be a favorite in any stampers’ collection.  While you will be able to order the products in the bundles separately starting June 1, you can order the bundle and get FREE product when ordered by May 31st.

You Are Remarkable

Hi! Today I have a card featuring the You Are Remarkable set which is retiring at the end of this month.  The flowers in this set are gorgeous and just pop on a card.

Flowers, Thanks, You Are Remarkable, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I had some fun sponging this background.  The bottom part is sponged in Pear Pizzazz while the top is Soft Sky with a hit of Tempting Turquoise.  It is fun to mix the colors a bit to see the final result.

The flower is stamped in Basic Black Archival ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and colored with Rose Red and Pink Pirouette markers.  For subtle shading, I’d run the tip of the Pink Pirouette marker lightly over the tip of the Rose Red and then color.  It is a great way to blend the colors together.  The flower is cut out with Paper Snips.  A frame is created using the Layering Squares and Stitched Shapes framelits.  The stem of the flower is put through the frame and then the two pieces are adhered together on the base of the card.

The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black Archival ink.  The stamped panel is mounted to a piece of Basic Black card stock.  The base of the card is Soft Sky.

I also created this same card changing the color of the flower to Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry.

Flowers, Thanks, You are Remarkable, Stampin' Up!, SU!

You only have a few more weeks to purchase this set before it is gone for good.  You’ll find it in my On-Line Store here.

Don’t forget the retiring Colors as we look for a fresh lot of colors in the new catalog.  Remember to purchase a reinker and card stock!

One of the Harder Ones

….in more ways than one.  Sympathy cards are very hard for me to make – it may just be the reason for needing one, but I do tend to struggle when making this type of card.   It will be a little harder yet with the retirement of the “Thoughts and Prayers” stamp set used to make this card.

Sympathy, Thoughts & Prayers, Starry Night, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Waterfront

I went with (or tried to anyway) a “starry night” sky using the Waterfront stamp set (think sand from that set).  This was stamped in Versamark and embossed with White Embossing powder.  I then sponged Crumb Cake and Old Olive ink on the bottom of the cardstock to represent the ground.  Three colors of ink were sponged for the sky – retiring colors Tempting Turquoise and Island Indigo with the final layer being Night of Navy.  I am pretty happy with how the colors blended – tho I think I could have used a few more “stars” in the top corners.

After creating the background, I stamped the tree in Basic Black Archival ink.   The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes – another set that is retiring and that I’ll miss.  This is punched out with the Classic Label punch.  A bit of Crumb Cake ink was sponged on this piece to   soften the look of the Whisper White.

What type of card do you struggle with making?

Don’t forget, today is the last day that the following retiring colors are guaranteed for ink pads and refills.  After today, these color products will be available “while supplies last”.    Card stock is already at “while supplies last”.

You’ll find all the supplies to make the above card in my on-line store.  Please consider using Hostess Code: 4CKMSHRT for orders less than $150.  (US, prior to S/H and tax).

For the Graduate

Hi!  It is hard for me to believe that my oldest is graduating in a few short weeks from High School.  I’ve been busy working on her invitations but took a little break yesterday to make a graduation card featuring her school colors.  I LOVE it!!

Graduation, Punch Art, Large Numbers, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Beautiful Bouquet

I had seen the Impossible Fold card created by Dawn Griffith and thought it would be perfect for a graduation card.  I must say, I am sorry to see the Large Number dies and stamp set retiring this month.  If you do not have these (at least the dies) add them to your list! Better yet – get them here now!    They are great not only for graduation, but birthday, anniversary, and even New Years cards.  They are also great for scrapbooking layouts.

For this card, I used Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Basic Black and Whisper White for my color scheme.  The “1” is a piece of printer paper rolled up and tied with retired Cherry Cobbler baker’s twine.  The sentiment is from Beautiful Boutique and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  The Graduation hat is made using Basic Black cardstock.   I hope her friends will like them!

Tune in to my Tuesday’s with Teresa Facebook Live on May 8 at 7:30pm EST to see just how to make this fun card!

Download the pdf here.

A quick note on May’s promotion Share What You Love Bundle.  This bundle is a sneak peek of new products being introduced in June – but you can get your hands on it now!

Don’t forget about the retiring list and colors!  Here’s the list of colors that we are saying goodbye to!  Get those reinkers and cardstock now!

You’ll find it all in my On-line store!

I know it is a lot for one post so thanks for sticking with me!
