A Cart of Pumpkins

Hi!  What did you think of yesterday’s Thanksgiving Theme Blog Hop?  I hope you had fun checking out all the great projects!   Today I am continuing on with fall cards – this one featuring the Pleasant Pheasants stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.

Fall, Pumpkins, Pleasant Pheasants, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2018HolidayCatalog

I actually demonstrated how to make this card on Tuesday’s Facebook Live – Tuesday with Teresa.  Here’s the video – it is the second card.

The measurements for each of the pieces:

Base: Thick Whisper White – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″ – score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half.

Early Espresso: 5 5/16 x 4 1/16″

Designer Series Paper: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″

Early Espresso:  3 3/16″ x 4 3/16″

Whisper White: 3″ x 4″

The image was colored using ink pads and a blender pen.  The background was done using the Saran Wrap technique.  (Hard to see in the picture – better view in the video).

On the original card, I also distressed the edges of the stamped panel with my fingernail – but forgot to do that in the video.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card!  Have a wonderful day!

Bountiful Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamp It Group Thanksgiving Blog Hop!  We have a bounty of projects for you today!

My card features the sentiment from the Pleasant Pheasants stamp set in the Holiday catalog.

Fall, Thanksgiving, Blog Hop, Pleasant Pheasants, Rooted In Nature, Colorful Seasons, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #stampitbloghop

I had so much fun making this card using a variety of techniques for the background.  I first sponged So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz ink on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Then, I created a color palette for the Baby Wipe technique using Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz.  I used this palette to stamp my leaves.  Love the fall colors that this technique creates! The leaves are from the Colorful Seasons and Rooted In Nature stamp sets.

The sentiment is from the Pleasant Pheasants stamp set found in the Holiday Catalog.  Such a lovely saying for Thanksgiving.  This was stamped in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla then die cut with the Layering Squares dies.  The mat behind it is die cut with a coordinating Stitched Shapes square from Early Espresso.

The background panel is matted on an Early Espresso piece of card stock.

To finish off the card, I made a bow from the Copper ribbon and  attached using a glue dot.  A leaf trinket is attached to the bow.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.

Couldn’t Resist

I hope you don’t mind!  But after the last wreath card using Wishing You Well, I couldn’t resist making a Christmas version.  So here it is!

Christmas, Wishing You Well, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Buffalo Check

What do you think?  I did make a few changes – for the Buffalo Check background, I used  a Mossy Meadow marker and a ruler and added lines in between the check pattern.  I also went with three colors instead of just two – I did try using just all Real Red and it just was too much.  So, I toned it down by adding in Mossy Meadow as my base card stock, in the check pattern and for the bow.

I did use Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter on the bow and berries – it just adds something special to the card.  Here’s a better view:

Christmas, Wishing You Well, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Buffalo Check

In case you missed it, the dimensions for the layers and a video making the Blueberry Bushel version, can be found in this post.

This truly is a beautiful set that will enhance any stampers stash.  You can purchase your own set here.

And What About…

the wreath?  Today’s card is the second one I shared using the Wishing You Well stamp set and is the wreath from that set.

Thinking of You, Wreath, Wishing You Well, Stampin' Up!, SU! #2018HolidayCatalog

I actually paired this with a few other stamp sets – can you identify them all?

The background features the new Buffalo Check in the Holiday Catalog – I think it is perfect and a must have for everyone!  The berries on the wreath are from the Banners for You set and the sentiment is from Sheltering Tree.  I love how we can use our long time friends from our collection and pair them with new sets to make gorgeous cards!  Not sure I captured it well in this picture, but I did use the Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen on the bow and berries – oh so pretty!

Here are the dimensions for each of the layers:

Base: Blueberry Bushel – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and folded in half.

Whisper White: 3 3/16″ x 5 6/16″ (behind Buffalo Check),  3″ x 4″ for wreath

Buffalo Check: Crumb Cake – 3″ x 5 3/16″

Blueberry Bushel Mat: 3 3/16″ x 4 3/16″ (behind the wreath)

In case you missed it, this is the second card demonstrated in this video:

Wouldn’t this make a great Christmas Card?  Switch out the Blueberry Bushel for Real Red or Cherry Cobbler and the sentiment and there you go!  Love the versatility of the Wishing You Well stamp set!

A Little Bouquet

Hi!  How are you today?  I hope doing well!  Today I have a little bouquet of flowers for you featuring the Wishing You Well stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.

Just a Note, Flowers, Wishing You Well, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2018HolidayCatalog

I am still in a Fall frame of mind and used the colors of fall for my palette for my card.  I used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze.   The card has a fun front look as I cut out  a section of the front so you can see the inside panel of the card.  Here are the dimensions:

Base – 4 1/4 x 11″.  Score at 5 1/2″.  Cut at 2″ from the score line for the top part of the front.   From the part cut off, cut 2″ piece for the bottom.

Designer Series Paper:  1 3/4″ x 4″ – need 2 pieces

Flower panel: Whisper White – 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″.  Cajun Craze Mat – 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″.

Here is the video with a demonstration on making this card:

Breathe in Fall

Hi!  Today I have a card for you that I demonstrated at last week’s Tuesday with Teresa.  I had a hard time coming up with a focal image prior to going live that night – but finally came up with this card:

Fall, Rooted in Nature, Direct to Paper, FB Live, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I used the direct to paper technique to create my background.  Then used markers to color the tree on the stamp before stamping on my paper.  I am very happy with the outcome.  I may add some birds in the sky – it was suggested during the live and I do like the idea.

Here’s the video if you wish to see how I made the card:

I’d love to know what you think!
