Let It Snow Tag

Hi!  Today I have a darling tag for you made with the Let It Snow suite.

Snowman,Let it Snow, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #Holiday2019

As you probably guessed, I am having tons of fun with this suite!  These tags are cute and simple and leave plenty of room on the back for a message if needed.

The snowman is stamped in Jet Black Stazon Ink and colored with markers – Basic Grey, Real Red, Garden Green and Pumpkin Pie.  his arms were punched from Soft Suede cardstock.

The tag itself is Coastal Cabana and the top is created using the Delightful Tag punch – this is a fun punch – as you can get 3 different looks on the top depending on the width of your paper.  A scrap of Designer Series Paper is layered near the bottom from the Let it Snow Specialty Paper pack.

Here’s a look at the back of the tag:

For the sentiment, I stamped in Real Red ink and punched opposite corners with the Detailed Trio Punch.   The Real Red braided ribbon finishes it off.

I hope you have enjoyed this week’s Let It Snow Suite projects.  I do have more – but I will move on to something different next time!

Happy Birthday Deer

Hi!  How are you!  Hope your weekend is going well!  Today I have a card for you featuring the Nature’s Beauty Stamp Set.

Birthday, Masculine, Deer, Natures Beauty, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #Holiday2019

Did you know that for every set sold, Stampin’ Up! is donating $3 to Mental Illness organizations around the world?  Here in the US, the funds raised will support the National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI).    During the month of October, I was matching that amount and have decided to continue to match it through the end of the year.   So, if you purchase this set through my on-line store, $6 of your $21 purchase will be donated to NAMI!

Ok – on to the card.  I used Crumb Cake Cardstock for my base.  The trees from the set are stamped in Jet Black Stazon ink.  I used Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Old Olive inks to lightly sponge on color.

For the deer, I once again used Jet Black Stazon ink.  I then used Watercolor Pencils – Early Espresso and Cajun Craze along with a Blender Pen to color him.  A touch of Old Olive for the grass finished off the panel.

The Stitched Nested Label framelits were used to cut the deer and Early Espresso  mat behind it.

The card is finished by stamping the sentiment  from the Here’s A Card Stamp Set in Jet Black Stazon ink.

If you would like to help me reach my goal of raising $75 for NAMI by the end of December, simply click on this link to purchase the Nature’s Beauty stamp set.

Have You Seen Snow?

The temperatures are starting to drop and today’s high will be 32.  While I have yet to see snowflakes (my daughter has), they are not far behind and I know that some areas have already seen the fluffy white stuff.   So, today, I am sharing the first card I made with the Let It Snow suite of products:

Snowman, Christmas, Let It Snow, #Holiday2019, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I love snowmen – they are adorable!  So I couldn’t resist the Let It Snow Suite in the Holiday Catalog.  This year’s snowman set comes with a coordinating snowman builder punch, so you can accessorize as you like

The snowman is stamped with Jet Black StaZon Ink.  His nose is colored with a Pumpkin Pie marker.  The hat is stamped in Jet Black StaZon as well – and is colored with Basic Gray, Garden Green and Real Red markers.  The arms are punched from Soft Suede cardstock.

The “Snowfall” is from the Let it Snow Designer Series Paper Pack and is a great background for him.  This is mounted on a piece of Basic Black cardstock.  The base of the card is our Thick Whisper White.

  • Base:  Whisper White – 4 1/4″ x 11″ – score at  5 1/2″ and fold.
  • Basic Black:  3 3/16″ x 3 3/16″
  • Let it Snow Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 3″

The sentiment is stamped in Coastal Cabana ink.

This is a quick card that would be easy to mass produce if you are looking for a design.  There are at least 2 different “snowfall” patterns in the Let It Snow Designer Series Paper pack that would allow you to make 64 cards similar to this from the suite.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project!

Fun With Masking

Hi!  Sorry I’ve been MIA this past month – I was focused on one aspect of my business and let this one slide – and that just isn’t right.  So, I am back today – and will hopefully do a better job of posting more regularly for you.

Today’s card features masking!  I love to create different size/shape masks using my framelits.

Thanksgiving, Friendship, Gather Together, Masking, Stampin' Up!, SU!

For this one, I started with a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 piece of cardboard cut from a piece that comes in the Designer Series Paper packs.  Ran this through with the Rectangle Nested Dies.   I then cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock the same size and laid the cardboard over the top.  This allowed me to sponge my background using Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry inks.

I stamped the Wheat from the Gather Together Stamp Set and die cut the leaves from Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler card stock.  To get the coloring in the leaves, gently push the die into the coordinating color ink pad prior to laying it on the cardstock.   I also die cut one leaf in Basic Black.

Given that Thanksgiving is approaching at the end of this month, I think this is a perfect Fall Card to let a special someone know how much I appreciate them.

Here is a video showing how this card is made:
