Seashells In Life

Hi!  How are you today?  I love looking for shells when I get to the beach – they are so pretty.  I have a jar in my kitchen with the shells I have collected over the years.  Do you collect them?  Well, today’s card reminds me of those shells.

This set debuted in the January-June Mini Catalog tho it took me a while to use it – so I am happy that it carried over to the Annual Catalog.  The shells are stamped on Designer Series Paper scraps from the now retired coordinating paper pack.   The In Good Taste or Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper packs would be great to use in place of this retired paper.

I love that this suite contained an Embossing Folder called Seashells 3D.  It creates such a beautiful background.   Did you know that the die set Seaside Seashells work with this Embossing Folder?  Pretty cool!   And what’s even sweeter – you can still purchase the dies and stamp set as a bundle in the Annual Catalog!

For the card, I used Sahara Sand for my base.  The embossed layer is Basic White.  As mentioned, the shells are stamped on Designer Series Paper using Sahara Sand ink.   The sentiment is also stamped in Sahara Sand ink and the Banners Pick-A-Punch was used to create the flag end.

A relatively quick card to put together if you are in need of a few.

Turtle Love

Hi!  The Turtle Friends bundle in the Annual Catalog is my favorite.  He is just adorable and will make fabulous cards for any occasions.

Birthday, Belated, Turtle Friends, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2021AnnualCatalog

I made this card following a sketch challenge from the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group.     The Designer Series Paper is a Host item that you can earn with a $150 (prior to S/H and tax) purchase or by hosting a workshop or catalog party with your family and friends that reaches a minimum of $150.  The colors of this paper are so bright and cheerful – I love them.

The card base is Granny Apple Green.  The turtle is stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake card stock and punched with the coordinating punch.  The shell is Granny Apple Green ink on Basic White cardstock.  While the punch does not do just the shell, you can use it to punch and just trim the bottom of the shell.   The hat is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink and fussy cut with Paper Snips.  It is colored with Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green markers.

The sentiment is stamped in Granny Apple Green ink as well.  The turtle is attached using dimensionals.  A few of the Artistry Blooms Adhesive backed sequins finishes it off.

Here is a link to the sketch.
