A Little Treat Pouch

Hi!  Today I have a little treat pouch, also called a self-closing bag, for you!  This is another of the gifts that we made at the Gifts class earlier this month.

Treat Pouch, 3D, Gift, Merry Little Labels, Stampin' Up!, SU!

This features the Merry Little Label bundle in the Holiday Catalog.  This bundle, and the stamp set, are retiring on Jan 2nd.  If you haven’t gotten yours yet, just click on the product below to be taken to my store so you can order it before it is gone.

I used the Be Merry Designer Series Paper in the Annual Catalog for my pouch.  The directions to make this are as follows:

Large Box:  (fits 5 Lindt Truffles)

Designer Series Paper 6 x 8 1/2″

  1. Score at 1″ and 5″ on the 6″ side.
  2. Score at 4″ and 8″ on the 8 1/2″ side.
  3. Cut off the 1/2″ x 1″ corners and angle cut the center tab.
  4. Cut at 4″ score line to the 1″ score lines on the top and bottom.
  5. Cut on one side only (tab will be on your right) at 2″ and 6″ to the 1″ score line”
  6. Place the paper on top of the pierce mat.
  7. Using a stylus and a ruler, score a diagonal line from the left hand side of the paper at the 5″ score line to the 2″ cut line on top and from the 2″ cut line  to the 4″ cut line on the bottom.
  8. Then make diagonal scores from the bottom 4″ cut line to the top 6″ cut line and from the top 6″ cut line to the bottom 8″ score line (right edge  by tab).
  9. See picture below – the score lines are dotted, the cut lines are solid.
  10. Fold on all score lines.
  11. Use Tear and Tape on the tab and fold on 4″ score line to adhere the tab in place.
  12. Use tear and tape on two opposite tabs to form the bottom of the box.
  13. Decorate as desired.

Once you have made a few, they go pretty quick and are a great little treat for the postman, neighbor, co-worker or friend.   If you are hosting Christmas dinner, you could even make one for each place setting.

Time for A Tag

Hi!  Today I have a few little tags to share with you using the Merry Little Labels set from the Holiday Catalog.

Tags, CHristmas, Merry Labels, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I love this stamp set and am a little sad it isn’t carrying over. If you don’t ahve it yet, just click on the bundle in the supply list to get yours before it is gone!

It so easy to make such fun tags to personalize your Christmas gifts this year.  I went simple with my tags – I stamped three of the sentiments in Basic Black Archival ink – two on Crumb Cake card stock and one on Whisper White card stock.  The For/From tag, I used markers to color the stamp so that the holly would give a little color.   I used the coordinating Label Punch (which is carrying over) to punch out the tags.   I cut the small gold and silver doilies in half – so one doily for 2 tags and tucked this to the left of the tag.  These were then mounted on scraps of Designer Series Paper from the Merry Little Christmas pack.  I used the Scalloped Tag Topper punch for the top of this layer.  I also cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock (easiest to see it peeking out behind the just For You tag) the same size as the Designer Series Paper and punched out with Scalloped Tag topper.   This allows you to write a little message – or who the gift is for on the inside of the tag.

The tags are tied together with the gorgeous Basic Black shimmer ribbon and finished off with the silver and gold metallic thread.

A little bit county, a little bit elegant, right?

If you aren’t busy tonight, join me over on my Facebook Business Page here at 7:30pm EST for a LIVE demonstration of a Christmas card!

Winter Elegance

Hi!  How are you?  I hope doing well!  Today I have a card for you that I just love how it looks!

Winter Elegance!  I a little gold foil and gold embossing and you have a very elegant card!

This card features the Card Front Builder Dies and the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set.  The Card Front Builder dies  are on the retirement list for the Holiday Catalog.  If you haven’t gotten them yet, order soon!!  The items on the retirement list are while supplies last – and these will go quickly!

I used the dies to die cut the trees from my Whisper White panel.  I then ran the panel without the trees through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling embossing folder to make it look like it was snowing.  I mounted the Whisper White embossed panel on a piece of Gold Foil.  I then attached the die cut trees using dimensionals and off set just a little bit so the foil layer could  be seen.   The deer was die cut from Early Espresso card stock and attached with mini dimensionals on his legs.

I stamped the sentiment using Versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing powder.

While there are a few more steps to this card, it would still be easy to mass produce.  Here are the card stock dimensions if you would like to make your own:

  • Base: Thick Whisper White Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – score at 4 1/4″
  • Gold Foil – 3 5/8″ x 3 3/8″
  • Whisper White – 3 1/2″ x 3 1/4″

What do you think?  Elegant or not enough?  I’d love to hear your thoughts!

As mentioned above, the retiring list for the Holiday Catalog has been released.  You will find this in my Stampin’ Up! website here.

A Little Gift Bag

Hi!  Today I have the CUTEST little gift bags to share with you!  Thanks to Jill Lackford for this idea!   We will be making these at this month’s Boxes, Bags, and Tags class on November 17.  If you are local – join me!!  It’ll be tons of fun!

Gift Bags, Seasonal Chums, Foil Frenzy, DSP, Stampin' Up!, SU!

Aren’t these adorable????  I LOVE THEM!!!  The bags are made using the Foil Frenzy Designer Series Specialty Paper and the Gift Bag Punch board.  The decorations on the bag use the Seasonal Chums Stamp Set and coordinating dies.  Here’s a closer look at each bag:

Gift Bag, Seasonal Chums, Foil Frenzy, DSP, Stampin' Up!, SU!

For the snowman, I used Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist for the mittens and scarf and the holly and band on the hat.  The bunny is colored in Crumb Cake.  The hat is Basic Gray and his nose is Pumpkin Pie.  He is layered on a Circle cut from the Layering Circles  stamp set in Whisper White which was then run through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  This is placed on a Lemon Lime Scallop Circle from the Layering Circles as well.   The ribbon is Lemon Lime Twist 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon.

Gift Bags, Seasonal Chums, DSP, Foil Frenzy, Stampin' Up!, SU!

The reindeer is stamped on Crumb Cake card stock (less coloring!).  His nose, spots, hooves and antlers are colored with a Chocolate Chip Marker.  His ears are colored in Pink Pirouette.  The bow is Soft Sky, the bell Crushed Curry.  I then colored the bell with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter pen.  He is popped up on a Whisper White circle die cut with the Layering Circles Framelits and this is placed on a Soft Sky Scallop from the same die set.  The ribbon is Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon.

I can’t wait to show guests how to make these bags!

A FALL Eclipse

Hi!  We have moved into Fall here in New England and the temperatures are definitely more seasonal.  This is  a card we did at a September workshop – such a fun technique and a great way to celebrate fall.

If you haven’t tried the Eclipse technique, I did give some directions in this post.

My colors for this card:  Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip and Early Espresso for the flowers.  The leaves  are Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.  The copper ribbon was the perfect accent for this card.

Since there aren’t two “L”‘s in the Large Letter Framelit set, I used an “E” to get my spacing then removed it before running through the Big Shot with FAL.   I then moved the L and ran through again to get the last “L” in the word.

It’s a new month and a New Year in the Stampin’ Up! world, so we are kicking it off with not 1 but 2 awesome sales!!

First, get ready for World Card Making Day with these special offers!

Second, Designer Series Paper Special!!

Such great deals!!  Don’t miss out!!  Use Hostess Code 6HMNXWKG when ordering before October 10, I’ll send you a FREE Embellishment of my choosing!

Have A Cuppa

Hi!  Today I bring you a Cup of Cheer!  Love this Merry Cafe set in the Holiday Catalog!

Merry Cafe, Coffee, Winter, Birthday, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I am not a coffee drinker, so the Coffee Cafe set in the Annual Catalog did not do much for me.  However, I do love hot chocolate and tea – and love that the Merry Cafe set covers both – plus can be used for Hallowee, Fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Winter and Valentines!  How much more versatile can you get?  And, if you are a coffee drinker – it pairs well with the Coffee Cafe set and coordinating dies!

This card is very quick and easy – and is one of the options for the attendees at Saturday’s Stamp Buffet.  The background behind the cup is watercolored with an Aqua Painter.  The snowflakes are stamped after die cutting the mug.  The sentiment is stamped first since the die does add the little ridges for to the wrapper.   I did use dimensionals to pop up the lid -those cute little mini ones work perfectly!  A little bling with the Foil Frenzy Designer Series Paper, Perfect Accents and Natural Linen thread, and voila!   Perfect card for winter – or any occasion really!  Tuck a gift card inside and use it for a birthday!

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Witchy Treat

Hi!  How are you today?  I am doing fabulous!  I had so much fun last night doing the Holiday Catalog Party on Facebook – hoping those of you that joined me, had fun, too!

Today, I have an adorable Treat Tube holder to share.  The idea came from BJ Peters is so easy to make!  We will be making these at the September 30 Stamp Buffet!

Halloween, Treat Holder, Spooky Cat, Witch, Stampin' Up!, SU!

The hat is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink (stamped off on scrap once).  The buckle is colored with Crushed Curry marker and then the entire hat is colored with the clear Wink of Stella glitter pen (which doesn’t really show in this picture).

To make the holder, simply score a 4x 7 7/8″ piece of cardstock at 3″, 3 5/8″, and 4 1/4″ along the 7 7/8″ edge.  Then cut between the score lines at 1 5/8″ and 2 3/8″ along the 4″ edge.  This creates the little holder for the tube. Place adhesive between the second and third score lines outside the cut lines.

Here’s a picture showing the score lines, cut lines, and adhesive placement.

Such a cute way to pass out Halloween treats this year!

I am hosting a Stamp Buffet on Saturday, Sept 30 – three sessions 10am-Noon, 1pm-3pm, 4pm-6pm EST.  If you are interested, please contact me and I’ll be happy to send you more details!

Jingle Bells

Hi!  Breaking up the fall cards to pop in this adorable Christmas card using the little deer from the Seasonal Chums stamp set.

Seasonal Chums, Merry Melody DSP, Christmas, Stampin' Up!, SU!, DIY Crafts

He is just so cute!  The Merry Medley Designer Series Paper has a sheet with Jingle Bells and I thought it perfect for my background.  The deer is stamped with Basic Black Archival ink on Crumb Cake card stock.  His antlers, spots and hooves are colored with Chocolate Chip marker, the ears with Pink Pirouette, the bow with Real Red and the bell with Crushed Curry.  While you can’t see it in this view, I colored over the bell with the Wink of Stella marker.   I used the coordinating framelits to cut him out – so quick and easy!

The sentiment is from the Merry Cafe stamp set.  A little gold ribbon to finish him off.  A pretty quick and easy card to make if you need to mass produce your cards.   He is one of the cards that will be available for attendees to make at the Sept 30 Stamp Buffet.

Halloween Treats

Hi!  How are you today?  I hope doing well!  Today I have a little holder to share with you!  I saw these adorable holders designed by Kelly Acheson – here is a link to her video.  Had to give it a try for Halloween.

Seasonal Chums, Pumpkins, Cats, Spooky Cat, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Treat Holders, Hershey Nugget, Halloween

Are these not the cutest?  Here is the back side of the pumpkin:

Seasonal Chums, Halloween, Treat Holder, Pumpkins, Stampin' Up!, SU!

These little guys hold 6 nuggets each!  I made a bunch of these to sell at a craft fair – I can’t wait to see how they do!

The pumpkins are stamped in Basic Black Archival ink on Pumpkin Pie card stock.  I colored the leaves with an Old Olive marker and the faces with a Basic Black marker.   The cat is actually just punched from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper!  No stamping needed!  The moon behind the cat is a 2 1/4″ circle of Daffodil Delight.  The Designer Series Paper on both boxes is also from the Spooky Night pack and is 1/2″ by 8 3/4″ long.

I used Tear & Tape to assemble my holder.

Hope you enjoyed today’s project!

Patterned Pumpkins

Hi! Today I have a card for you made with the Pick A Pumpkin stamp set and Patterned Pumpkins coordinating thinlets.  Did you know you can purchase these two items as a bundle and save 10%?  I love a deal!

Pumpkins, Pick a Pumpkin, Patterned Pumpkins, Halloween, Stampin' Up!, SU!

The pumpkins are stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink and the stem is colored with Old Olive.  The faces are stamped with Basic Black Archival ink.  A quick tip if you want to make multiples – line up the pumpkins on one block – leaving enough room in between each pumpkin for the metal thinlet to cut it out – and stamp them together.  Then, line up the faces on the pumpkins where you want them to be (do not ink them yet), then place your clear acrylic block over the faces to pick them up at one time.  This way they are aligned on your block and you can stamp all three at the same time.   This will also allow you to die cut all three pumpkins at the same time!

The sentiment is from Seasonal Chums stamp set and the bat is die cut from the coordinating Seasonal Tags framelits.  I love how our products coordinate!  The border for the sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  It is inked in Basic Black while the sentiment is stamped in Old Olive.   These are then punched out with the Classic Label punch.

The Designer Series Paper on the left is  a piece from the Merry Little Christmas paper pack.  The patterns in this pack aren’t just for Christmas!  The card is finished with a little bit of the Basic Black Vintage Crochet Trim.

Don’t forget, you can order a sample of all the Holiday Catalog Designer Series Papers.  Just fill out the form below by Sept 10th.  I will send a paypal invoice to you for payment.   Each share is $17.50 plus $5 S/H if you are not local to Northboro, MA.  This is for US customers only.  You will get a total of 56 6×6 pieces of Designer Series Paper.
