Hi! How are you? Sorry I’ve been MIA for the past 6-7 weeks. Life threw some curve balls and I had to let my blog sit during that time. Well, I am back and I wanted to catch you up with some of the cards I’ve been making.
This first one – while it looks complicated, is so easy to do! Thanks to Sandy’s Craft Studio for this fun Angle-Cut Designer Series Paper technique.
Does this angle cut Designer Series Paper look hard? Well, I’m here to show you how easy it is to make 4 cards from one piece of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. For this card, I used the Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper. The sentiment is from Lovely You and the flowers from Daisy Lane.
Start with a 6″ x 6″ piece of your favorite DSP and a 6 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ of coordinating cardstock.
For the DSP, make a small mark at 1 1/2″ on all 4 sides. Then, watch the video below to show you how to cut.
For the Cardstock, make your marks at 1 5/8″ and follow the same cutting instructions.
I made 2 of the card above and 2 of this card with the four pieces:
This sentiment comes from the Butterfly Wishes Stamp set and the flower from the Lovely You stamp set. The colors are Terracotta Tile, Crushed Curry and Old Olive. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso.
Here’s the video showing you how to cut the DSP and cardstock:

is flying by just because. Did you see the new Birds & Branches bundle in the catalog? I am a sucker for birds and couldn’t pass this one up.
The colors used for this card are Pear Pizzazz, Terracotta Tile and Soft Suede. The Designer Series Paper is from Forever Greenery. Love this paper – it will go with so many different stamp sets.
The sentiment is from the Lovely You stamp set. The oval is from the Band Together Dies. The bird and circle vine are from the coordinating dies for the Birds & Branches stamp set.
The bird is stamped in Terracotta Tile and then Soft Suede. The flowers are stamped in Flirty Flamingo. The die cut and bird are attached using dimensionals.
Dimensions for layers:
- Base – Whisper White Thick – 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
- Pear Pizzazz – 4″ x 4″
- Designer Series Paper – 4″ x 1 1/2″
- Scrap of white for sentiment
I hope you enjoyed today’s card!

on an old favorite. I debuted the Double Point fold a while ago and wanted to change it up a little to kick off the new 2020 Annual Catalog!
I must say, the Forever Fern Suite is one of my favorites in this new catalog. The colors are gorgeous together and I can see quite a few uses for this bundle. While I am only debuting the stamp set and Designer Series Paper, there are coordinating dies as well – making this a fabulous addition to your paper crafting go-tos.
For this card, I chose Pretty Peacock, Soft Sea Foam and Basic Gray for my color palette. The sentiment is actually from the Beauty Abounds set – just to show how versatile the images are with other sets.
Here are the dimensions for the supplies needed:
- Base Pretty Peacock – 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
- Whisper White -4″ x 5 1/4″
- Designer Series Paper – 4″ x 3″ (need 2)
- Scraps large enough for stamping and mat using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies
Here’s the video on how to make the card:
You can now order from the 2020 Annual Catalog and I hope the Forever Fern bundle is on your list! Shop my on-line store today!

I am so excited to offer Suite Shares of the new Suites in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog!
What is a suite share? It is a sample of the products that come in a Suite so that you can get a taste of the products before investing in the full package. Each suite will contain products such as Designer Series Paper, ribbon, embellishments and coordinating card stock!! There are 10 different suite shares to choose from!
Simply fill out this form with the Shares you’d like and I’ll send a Paypal invoice. I will combine bundles to reduce shipping costs or if you are local, you can do a porch pick-up!
Products will be ordered by June 4th and shares will be mailed out as quickly as possible once products arrive and shares sorted. I do need a minimum of 4 people to participate in a share to place the order. I will invoice as soon as a suite share has reached 4 people.
Any questions? Just ask!
Hi! Today I am playing along with Kylie’s International Blog Highlights! I had so much fun last month and decided to play along this month.
Our theme is once again Thanks. With everything going on in the world today, it is extremely important that we show appreciation to those around us.
I first shared this style of fold back in August 2018. I hadn’t used it since, and decided that this new suite (available now and debuting in the 2020 Annual Catalog) was perfect!
I love the Designer Series Paper and felt it made the perfect background for my card. The flower is stamped with Early Espresso ink and colored with So Saffron and Old Olive markers. The sentiment is stamped in Terracotta Tile ink.
The cardstock dimensions are:
- Base: Terracotta Tile – 4 1/4″ x 11″
- Base Layers:
- Early Espresso – 4″ x 5 1/4″ – need 2 (one for the front and one for the back)
- Whisper White – 4″ x 5 1/4″ – (for the back)
- Designer Series Paper – 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Early Espresso – 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
- Pop-out: Early Espresso – 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″
- Pop-out Layers –
- Terracotta Tile – 2 1/2″ x 3 1/4″
- Whisper White – 2 1/4″ x 3″
- Scraps for second part of sentiment and flowers
For the Base, score the 4 1/4″ x 11″ at 1/2″, 2″, 4″ and 5 1/2″
For the Pop-out, score the 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″ at 1/2″ and 2″ on the 5 1/2″ side
Here is the video (it is the second card) on how to put it all together.
