with a birthday wish. Hi! How are you today? Have you gotten any crafting time in yet this year? It has been fun stamping and just playing around with all the new goodies in the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs. This card uses the Sky is the Limit Sale-A-Bration set – this set is only around until February 15th – so don’t miss out! You can get this set for FREE with a minimum $50 purchase (prior to S/H and tax). There are a few other products only available through Feb 15 as well.
As you can see, I am still working on birthday cards – as February is chock full of them for me – especially for the males in my family. You could easily change this into a Valentine’s card by using the sentiment “You send me Soaring” in place of the Happy Birthday – maybe color the heart red and there you go. I dressed up the card with a little of the new two toned Baker’s Twine found in the Occasions’s catalog.
New Weekly Deals were announced today! The sentiment set Something To Say is a great set to have on hand and at 25% off – a great deal, too! You save 25% on these products for the next week!
Thanks for stopping by!

I do have a project to share with you today featuring yet another stamp set in the Occasions catalog. I also love this set – great for any occasion and especially great for making cards for the men in your life. Don’t get me wrong – it is not exclusively just for guys – but it does well for those cards. Here it is:
Aren’t those deer just adorable? I decided to play along with the color challenge this week at Global Design Projects – #GDP017 which is to use Garden Green, Rose Red and Crumb Cake. I was going for a Cherry Blossom look for my tree – not sure I achieved it – but I am pretty happy with how it turned out. What do you think? Even with that touch of pink, I think it still works for a male birthday card (good thing, as I have 6 of them in my family that celebrate in February!).
And lastly, the winner of the Blog Hop candy is Phylis Sinclair! Congratulations Phylis!! Enjoy your new Going Global stamp set and DSP stack!
Thanks for stopping today!
Welcome to 2016!! I am looking forward to the new year and all that it brings! Stampin’ Up! is kicking off 2016 with a new mini catalog – the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration! Both of these start on January 5 – just two days away!
Today I have a few cards using the new Picture Perfect stamp set from the Occasions Catalog – I just love this set – it is my favorite by far! The hummingbird stamps just drew me in – as I love hummingbirds. Over the holiday, I was sent a video tutorial from the talented Lydia Fiedler, you can check out her blog here. I CASEd her hummingbird colors in the card on the left. I also tried a few of my own color combinations – and was happy with the So Saffron/Crushed Curry on the right.
I need to play around with more combinations – as hummingbirds are very colorful. I also need to restock my Thank You card pile and my birthday pile – as I will do better this year about sending cards – because who doesn’t love getting some happy mail?
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are inspired by today’s cards and are getting your wish list ready for Tuesday!
Hi! How are you today? Switching things up today with a little shine and glimmer for Valentine’s Day. The black glimmer paper in the Holiday Catalog will soon be gone – so I wanted to share a card that uses the paper for a beautiful background for my Red Foil heart. I just love this new die that is in the Occasions Catalog – it is so pretty! I added a few black glimmer flowers and while it may not show in the picture, this card really sparkles and shines. The hearts and sentiment are from the matching Bloomin’ Love stamp set. You can purchase the dies and stamp set as a bundle starting January 5!
So what do you think?

Hi! Welcome to the Team Stamp It Group Blog Hop! I hope you are enjoying these early peeks at projects made with products from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalog!
My project today features the Rose Wonder stamp set. I was so happy to see this set because it is perfect for the Reinker Splash technique.
If you haven’t tried it yet, here is what you do:
- Ink your stamp in Versamark ink (or White Craft Ink) and stamp on Shimmery White card stock.
- Heat emboss with Clear Embossing Powder.
- Place drops of ink from your reinker on the inside lid of your stamp pad.
- Spritz water over your image – enough to make it pool.
- Using an Aquapainter, pick up the ink and apply it to the pools of water. The ink will spread in the water. You can add more ink for a darker look.
- Let dry completely – maybe about 30 minutes.
For this card, I only used 2 colors of ink – Rose Red and Old Olive. Love the variegated look I achieved. I then hand cut the flower and to give it a puffy look, traced over the embossed lines with my stylus on my piercing mat, flipped the flower over to the back, then ran the stylus in between the lines. Here is a closer look at the flower:
I also didn’t have any Old Olive Ribbon that worked for my card, so I used a sponge dauber to add color to the White Organza ribbon.

Good morning! Today I have a sneak peek for you as my pre-order from the Occasions catalog came yesterday and I couldn’t resist using some of the goodies I got!
This card uses products from the Love Blossoms Suite. In this card, I used the Bloomin’ Love stamp set, Blushing Bride glimmer paper and the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper stack. (These products will be available to order on January 5, 2016) Paired it with the Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon and some sequins from the Blushing Bride Sequin trim and there you have it. A little bit of sparkle to brighten anyone’s day. The sentiment is from the Six Sayings hostess set found in the Holiday Catalog – you still have time to get this set with a $150 order or host a catalog party before January 4th!
I also designed this card using the Global Design Projects Sketch for this week’s challenge – #GDP014 Such a pretty sketch that can be used to inspire so many different types of cards.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you enjoy a little sparkle in your day!
Santa that is! Playing with some sets from the Holiday catalog that will be retiring on January 4th – if you haven’t gotten them yet – get them soon before they are gone for good! I loved pairing these two sets together – the trees from Wonderland and Santa with his Reindeer from Cozy Christmas – a child’s dream come true to see Santa flying through the sky. The sky is created by first creating a mask for the moon – I used a 1 1/4″ circle and then sponging Rich Razzleberry, followed by Island Indigo, and topped with Night of Navy. The trees were stamped using Garden Green and Santa and his reindeer using the new Archival Basic Black ink. I ended with randomly dotting snow using the Signo Gel-Pen. The sentiment is from Versatile Christmas and is embossed in White Embossing Powder. I also wanted to show you the inside of the card (as I rarely finish the inside… bad me!) but, today I did:
The inside sentiment is also from Versatile Christmas. Do you stamp the inside of your cards for a more finished look?
One more item for you, the weekly deals this week include the Big Shot Precision Base Plate – this is an awesome addition for those intricate dies if you own a Big Shot. For the next 7 days, you can purchase this for just $18.75! (Plus S/H and tax!) You will find this great deal and more in my On-line store.

Good morning! Back to working on Christmas cards and decided to try my hand at the wreath from the set Peaceful Wreath in the Holiday catalog. There are matching dies in the Annual Catalog that make cutting this out a breeze! The sentiment is also included in the framelit set – a bonus! The wreath was colored using a blender pen to give it a softer look. Have you tried using blender pens for a water color feel? I also stamped the Hardwood stamp in Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake card stock to give it more of a door look. Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!

Good morning! I had so much fun playing in the Global Design Project Challenge last week, that I decided to play along again. This week’s challenge, #GDP013 is a color combo – Real Red, Old Olive, and Crumb Cake. I love this color combo – it is great for Christmas cards (which I should be working on). But, I also have some December birthdays to celebrate so went with that theme for my card today. The majority of the images are from the Butterfly Basics stamp set – such a gorgeous set to work with. I don’t know if you can tell, but I popped up the flowers (tho not the stems) to add some dimension to the card. I am pretty happy with how it turned out and hope the recipient enjoys it as well.

Good morning! Today I am sharing a card I made for Friday’s last Christmas Stamp-A-Stack. This card uses the Reason for the Season stamp set. I love poinsettias – and creating them with this set is so easy to do. Have you started on your Christmas cards yet?
