A Card in a Flash

Hi! Today I have a quick card and a quick tip when you need a Card in a Flash!

What’s a Card in a Flash?  A card that you can make in 10 minutes or less! Over the World Card Making Day weekend, I challenged my followers to create a card in 10 minutes or less.   Here’s the card I created:

Fall, Card in a Flash, Rooted in Nature, Nature's Poem, Stampin' Up!, SU!

In case you haven’t seen by previous posts, but I truly love fall.  The Rooted in Nature suite is perfect for fall (and truly, for all seasons!)  This card pairs the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper with the Die Cut framelits and a sentiment.  Quick to put together and still so pretty!

Quick Tip:  When you need a card quickly – check out our suites!  They contain all the coordinating products you need to make quick and beautiful cards.  Designer Series Paper paired with a sentiment, die cut and embellishment goes together quickly.

My color palette for this card is Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze and Whisper White.

SPECIAL OFFER!!  I am offering a tutorial and consumable supplies (no inks or adhesives) for 4 cards made with the Rooted In Nature Bundle to those who purchase the bundle through my on-line store by October 19.   To participate, simply purchase your bundle here using Host Code: T6TV6DZE   Tutorial and supplies will be mailed by October 30th.

Breathe in Fall

Hi!  Today I have a card for you that I demonstrated at last week’s Tuesday with Teresa.  I had a hard time coming up with a focal image prior to going live that night – but finally came up with this card:

Fall, Rooted in Nature, Direct to Paper, FB Live, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I used the direct to paper technique to create my background.  Then used markers to color the tree on the stamp before stamping on my paper.  I am very happy with the outcome.  I may add some birds in the sky – it was suggested during the live and I do like the idea.

Here’s the video if you wish to see how I made the card:

I’d love to know what you think!

Painted Harvest with a Twist

Hi!  Today I have a fun card using the Painted Harvest Stamp set.   This is the second card I demonstrated during this week’s Tuesday with Teresa Facebook Live.

Thanks, Painted Harvest, Fancy Fold, Fun Fold, Stampin' Up!, SU!

First twist – I changed up the color of the flowers from the typical yellow sunflowers.  I love this color combination of Balmy Blue and Pacific Point. So pretty!

I saw this Side Board card by Deb Valder and knew it would be fun to make.

This card is the second card in this video:

High Cotton

Hi!  Today I have the second card from Wednesday night’s Facebook Live.  I love how this card turned out.   I had seen a similar card on Pinterest by Cindy Stewart-Held and wanted to give it a try.

Thanks, Country Lane, Cotton, Stampin' Up!, SU!The cotton is stamped on the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper in Jet Black StaZon ink.  I colored the cotton using the Stampin’ Chalk Marker.

The circles are made using the 2″ and 2 1/4″ punches.

The ribbon is the new braided ribbon in the Holiday Catalog.  I love the frayed ends on this ribbon.

This card is the second one created in this video:

Don’t forget, you have until September 30 to redeem those Bonus Day coupons!

A Taste of Country

Hi! Today I am happy to share the card from this past week’s Tuesday with Teresa Facebook Live!  It features the Country Home stamp set and coordinating products from the Holiday Catalog.

Country Home, Tin Tile Embossing Folder, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Fall

I love this suite in the catalog – it is just perfect for fall!  I colored the jug and flowers using Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen for a soft look.

I also LOVE the detail of the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder – especially on the Galvanized Metal sheet.  It is simply stunning!

Here’s the video for the card:

Throw Back Thursday – Halloween Style

Hi!  Today I am showcasing a treat pouch made using some retired Halloween Products.  I am working on some goodies for a craft fair and decided it would be good to use up some retired Designer Series Paper I had laying around.

Diaper Fold, Halloween Treat Pouch, Cookie Cutter Halloween, Stampin' Up! SU!

These little guys are from the Cookie Cutter Halloween Set from a year or two ago.  I loved this set – they are just adorable.  The diaper fold pouch uses a 6×6 piece of Designer Series Paper and is pretty easy to put together.  These little guys will hold a mini candy bar – perfect for giving coworkers, friends and neighbors.

Here’s a closer look:

Cookie Cutter Halloween, Stampin' Up!, Treat Pouch

I’ll be updating this pouch to current product on Sept 10th’s Facebook Live – where I’ll also show you how to make it!  Hope you’ll join me at 7:30pm EST over here.

I hope you enjoyed today’s little Throwback post.

I’m in Love!

Hi! I am back today with one more card featuring the Touches of Texture Stamp Set and I AM IN LOVE!!!   I loved it so much, I made 6 of them!

Touches of Texture, Subtle, Fall, Note Cards, Stampin' Up!, SU!

In the last two posts featuring this set, I showed how to use the stamps to color the flowers.  In this set, I used a Blender Pen and ink pads to color them and love the soft look this gave the flowers:

Fall, Flowers, Touches of Texture, Subtly DEF, Stampin' Up!, SU!

To me, it looks like I painted the flowers.   I chose to go back to the first card’s background for this one and add the flecking using a Crumb Cake marker and then running the piece through the Big Shot with the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder.

To finish it off, I used two strips of Designer Series Paper from the Country Lane DSP Pack (this will be available tomorrow when the Holiday Catalog goes live!)    A 1/4″ strip of Blackberry Bliss runs across the top of the 2 layers of Designer Series Paper.

Here’s the card in full detail:

Fall Flowers, Touches of Texture, Flecking, Subtle EF, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I think this is such a pretty note card set.  I could easily add a sentiment if need be, but I thought a set of note cards that could be used for anything would be best.

What do you think?  Do you love it as much as I do?  I don’t typically make multiples of a card – so you can tell how much I loved this one that I went and made six!

Stay tuned – tomorrow the Holiday Catalog goes LIVE!!  And, you can now redeem those Bonus Day coupons you earned last month!

Stamp It – Fall Blog Hop

Hi! Today I am happy to be back hopping with my fellow Team Stamp It demonstrators!!  You will find lots of great ideas to help you get ready for Fall!

Today’s card is brought to you by the Touches of Texture stamp set!

Fall Flowers, Hello, Stamp It Blog Hop, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Touches of Texture

This set is so fun to play with!  I showcased another card with this set in this post.

I stamped the flowers in Soft Suede ink and then used the large splatter stamp inked in Crushed Curry over that.   I then used the smallest splatter to add color to the flowers in Cajun Craze, Real Red, and Blackberry Bliss.

The Designer Series Paper is from the upcoming Holiday Catalog that debuts on Sept 5.  It is called Country Lane and will be a must have for your Fall projects.

The Base of this card is Soft Suede measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and folded in half.  The Very Vanilla layer measures 4 x 5 1/4″.

The sentiment is from the Banners for You Set stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on Crushed Curry cardstock and die cut.   The final touch to the card is the linen thread which is wrapped around twice before being tied into a bow.

If you’d like to watch a video – the second card in this one shows how I made the card:

A Touch of Fall

Hi!  I am back today with one of the cards demonstrated on last night’s Tuesday with Teresa Facebook Live!

Flowers, Touches of Texture, Subtle, Fall, Stamipn' Up!, SU!

I am in mood for fall – as these last few days we’ve been under a heat index warning with temps in the 90’s and “feels like” nearing 100.   So, here is my take on a fall card using the Touches of Texture stamp set.

Do you see the pop of texture on the Vanilla card stock?  That is the Subtle Embossing Folder!  Isn’t it gorgeous?  I LOVE it!! It was hard to tell in the catalog what the result would be – so now you know!!    You can order yours in my store here.

Here is the video from last night:

The dimensions for the card stock:

Base: Soft Suede – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and folded

Very Vanilla – 4″ x 5 1/4″

Sentiment Banner – Very Vanilla – 3/4″ x 2 3/4″, Soft Suede 7/8″ x 2 7/8″

I think I’m going to make a few more of these as I love how they turned out!
