Fall Accordian

Hi!  Today I have a fun fold card that we did at one of the Mystery Stamp nights I host on-line.   This features products from the Gilded Autumn Suite in the August-December Mini catalog.

Grateful, Fall, Gilded Autumn, Beautiful Autumn, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #AugDecMini

Here is the view of the card opened:

Gilded Autumn, Accordian Card, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Fall, #AugDecMini

The base of the card is Very Vanilla and measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.  A piece of Cajun Craze measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″ and embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder is adhered to the base.

The accordian fold layer is a piece of Very Vanilla measuring 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 1 1/2″, 3″, 5 1/2″ and 8″.

Designer Series Paper measuring 1 1/4″ x 4″ is adhered to the first panel.  Designer Series Paper measuring 2 1/4″ x 4″ (need 2) is adhered to the 3rd and 4th panels.   A final strip measuring 1/2″ x 4″ is adhered to the right most edge.

A belly band is creating using a 1 1/2″ x 9″ piece of Cajun Craze.  Wrap the strip around the card so that the ends meet in the front.  Attach the ends to each other with a piece of Tear and Tape.

To decorate the belly band, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  The leaves and acorn were punched from the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper.

While the card cannot stand up on its own, it is a little something different and a new fold to try.

Friendship & Flowers

Hi!  How are you today?  I hope all is well!  Today I have another version of last month’s Mystery Stamping layout – this time featuring Designer Series Paper.

Just Jade, Friendship. Flowers, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2020AnnualCatalog, #2020-22InColors

In case you missed this layout and the dimensions and directions, you’ll find it in this post.   I love this layout for the versatility.  In the first card, I paired Designer Series Paper side panels with a stamped main panel.  In this one, I am showcasing the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper Stack – you could make quite a few cards using DSP and cardstock  then pick your favorite sentiment and there you go.    I still need to make this card using Embossed side panels – as I think that will look quite nice.

The main color for this card is the gorgeous Just Jade – a new 2020-2022 In Color.  It is paired with Misty Moonlight – another 2020-2022 In Color.  I truly LOVE this year’s In Colors – they are gorgeous and pair so nicely together.

So, if you need a little different layout but easy enough to mass produce – this is perfect!  Let me know if you give it a try.

Hello Sunshine!

Hi!  Happy Monday!!  I had so much fun Friday night at the Mystery Stamp night and decided to start the week with the card layout I used.  Huge thanks to Kim Quade at Kim Plays with Paper for the inspiration.

Fun Fold, Hello, Under My Umbrella, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2020AnnualCatalog, #2020InColor, #MysteryStamping

Isn’t this a fun layout!  The stamped image is a flap and a layer behind to write your message!   For this card, I used the Under My Umbrella stamp set.  The images were stamped in Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin Blends – Real Red, So Saffron, Seaside Spray and Old Olive.  The sentiment is stamped in the new Misty Moonlight In Color ink.  I used the Stitched Shapes and Layering Circles for the sentiment.    A piece of Misty Moonlight In Color Twill Ribbon finishes it off.

The Designer Series Paper is from the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper pack.

Here are the dimensions:

  • Base – Misty Moonlight – 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
  • Designer Series Paper – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Flap – Misty Moonlight – 3″ x 8 1/2″ – score at 4 1/4″
  • Image Panel – Whisper White – 2 3/4″ x 4″ (need 2 – one for the inside)

Assembly:

  • Attach Designer Series Paper to the base
  • Attach the Flap to the Designer Series Paper (centered would be 1 1/4″ from each end)
  • Attach the Image panel to the top of the flap
  • Attach the second panel to the inside

If you wanted to save on Designer Series Paper – you could cut two strips that are 1 1/8″ x 4″ to place on each side of the flap once attached to the base.

I have so many fun ideas for this layout – I can’t wait to try them out!

I host Mystery Stamping Zoom Meetings the 3rd Friday of the month – I hope you will consider joining me in September!
