Hi! Thank goodness I am a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber! In my last minute mode, I needed to make Valentine’s for my family and didn’t have much time. Paper Pumpkin to the rescue! January’s Heartfelt Notes was the perfect kit and they were a big hit with the kids!
The kit contains enough materials to make 16 adorable pocket cards. Untie the ribbon, and there is a note tucked into the pocket. You could also put a gift card or small, flat piece of candy like a Ghiradelli square. The kit comes complete with everything you need (except scissors) to make these cards. Since I didn’t need 16 Valentines, I’ll be changing this up just a bit to make Gift Card Holders for Birthdays and Anniversaries. They are just perfect for that!
What is Paper Pumpkin? It is a box of creativity that arrives at your door every month! The box contains all supplies (except scissors) to make that month’s project. The projects change every month – from cards, to treat packaging, to home decor – its a crafty surprise!! It takes about 30-45 minutes to make the projects. Who doesn’t deserve a little creative time each month? Monthly cost is $19.95 plus tax (S/H is already included!)
Did you know that Paper Pumpkin is celebrating its 5th Birthday in March? As such, all subscribers by March 10, will get a FREE gift in their Paper Pumpkin box! How cool is that?

Hi! Welcome back to the last day of Valentine Treat Holders! I hope you have enjoyed this mini-series and are able to find a pattern for your Valentine Treats!
Ok, on to today’s project:
This cute little box can hold 3 Mini-Ghiradelli squares or 4 Hershey Kisses or 2 Dove Hearts! For this holder, I used the Melon Mambo Card Stock for my box and decorated with the Painted With Love Specialty Designer Paper. The hearts and sentiment are from the Tabs for Everything Stamp set.
Here is how the box is made:
- Score an 8 1/2″ x 5″ piece of cardstock at 2″ and 3″ on the 5″ side.
- Score at 2 “, 4″, 6″ and 8″ on the 8 1/2” side.
- Scallop punch the panels between the 2″ and 4″ score lines and the 6″ and 8″ score lines.
- Cut off the 2 corners on the 1/2″ end.
- Cut up on the score lines on the top and bottom.
- Score the 2 scallop panels at 1″ from the top of the scallop.
- Fold on all score lines.
- Use Fast Fuse Adhesive to adhere the tab to form the box shape as well as on the bottom flap to seal the bottom.
- Use ribbon to hold the 2 scallop tops together.
- Decorate the sides with 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ mats.
- Add sentiment and fill box with goodies.
Here is a picture of the template:
Just an FYI, yesterday’s box and today’s box can be made from 1 sheet of 8 1/2″ x 11″ card stock. This pattern requires 8 1/2″ x 5 and yesterday’s requires 8 1/2″ x 6. So you can get 2 from 1 sheet! Pretty cool!
You can shop in my on-line store! Use Hostess Code: AWRFCDQY to qualify for FREE goodies! All $50 orders (US, prior to S/H and tax) qualify for
- FREE Glitter and Clear Enamel Shapes ($7 value) – (good through Feb 10)

That’s quite a bit for FREE with just $50 order!

Hi! Did you try yesterday’s Treat Holder? What did you think?
Back again today with another Valentine Treat holder for you!
This treat holder is perfect for holding a single Lindt Chocolate or a few Hershey Kisses. Just the perfect little treat for someone sweet!
Here are the directions to make this:
- Score an 8 1/2″ x 6″ piece of card stock at 2″ and 4″ on the 6″ side
- Score at 3″ and 5 1/2″ on the 8 1/2″ side.
- Cut off all 4 corners
- Using the Scallop Tag Topper punch, punch the two long ends.
- Make a small mark on the 2 short ends at 1 1/4″
- Score from this mark to the corners on both small sides like this:Your card stock should now look like this:
- Fold on all Score lines. Apply Tear & Tape to one triangular flap on the short side to adhere the back scallop flap.
- Use ribbon to tie the front scallop flap and close the box.
- Decorate as desired.
For my box, I used Melon Mambo for the base and decorated with Designer Series Paper from the Painted With Love Specialty pack. These pieces measure 1 3/4″ x 2 1/4″.
I then used the small scallop circle punch from the Occasions Catalog and adhered with dimensionals a Gold Foil heart created with the Lots to Love framelits. You could add a sentiment to go over the heart or above or below if you’d like. The Ribbon is the Blushing Bride double stitched ribbon.
Pretty quick to put together if you are looking to mass produce a treat. If you need treats that are not food, try small erasers or stickers for children or a piece of jewelry for someone special. Little notes telling the recipient what you love about them would also be sweet to tuck inside.
You’ll find all supplies to make this box in my on-line store! Use Hostess Code: AWRFCDQY when placing your order to receive FREE Glitter & Enamel Epoxy Shapes ($50 order prior to S/H and tax placed by Feb 10) and this tutorial:

Hi! Today I am kicking off 3 Days of Valentine Treat Holders!
First up, this easy-peasy Ribbon Pull-Up treat holder!
It is amazing how quick and easy this little treat holder is to make. All you need is a 4×6 piece of Designer Series paper, a hole punch and ribbon! If you have a definitive pattern to your paper, you want the length to be 6″ and the height 4″. For my holder, I used the Painted Love Specialty Designer Series Paper found in the Occasions Catalog.
Score your 4×6″ piece of paper at 1/2″ along the 6″ side.
Fold and add Tear & Tape along the 1/2″ strip and along the bottom.
Adhere the side tab and then starting at the tab end, adhere the bottom.
Use a bone folder to flatten the pouch.
Punch a hole (I used a 1/4″ retired Stampin’ Up! punch) in the center of the top and run a 14″ piece of ribbon through the holes.
Place treats in pouch – using the treats to push the ribbon down into the pouch.
Tie ribbon or use a piece of Baker’s Twine to tie the ribbon together and decorate the front as desired.
The recipient just needs to pull up on the ribbon to pull the treats out of the pouch!
I am still celebrating my 13 years as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator with 13 days of Giveaways on my Facebook page here.
I am also offering FREE Glitter and Clear Enamel shapes with all $50 (US, prior to S/H and tax) orders placed in my on-line store using Hostess Code: AWRFCDQY through February 10th.

Hi! How are you today? In need of a hug? Well, I have just the card for you!
Aren’t these little guys adorable? This is the new stamp set Hedgehugs in the Occasions Catalog. How cute would this be for a Valentine’s card or to wish someone a Happy Birthday?
The base of my card is Crumb Cake and the little flowers were stamped with Crumb Cake ink. The Hedgehogs were stamped in Soft Suede on Whisper White card stock. I used the Early Espresso watercolor pencil to add some shading on his body and then blended it with a Blender Pen. The little flower he’s holding was colored with a Real Red Marker. The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede as well. The flower is colored with Real Red and Old Olive markers and stamped next to the sentiment. It was punched out with the 1 1/2″ Circle Punch and layered on a 1 3/4″ Soft Suede Circle. I added a thin strip of Burlap Ribbon to finish him off.
What do you think? Could you use a hug? If so, email me your address at: email@example.com and I’ll send you a hedgie hug!
Don’t forget – we are still Sale-A-Brating with Stampin’ Up! which means FREE goodies for you! Shop my on-line store and earn a FREE item with every $50 purchase (US – prior to S/H and tax).

Hi! Welcome to the Team Stamp It! Valentine’s Day Blog Hop! I hope you are enjoying the projects we have prepared for you for Valentine’s Day!
I went a little non-traditional on my color scheme – hope you don’t mind.
My all time favorite hostess set is the Love You Lots set – the animals are just adorable and make great cards for any occasion. Today I am using this little frog. I used the new Watercolor Pencils to color him in along with a blender pen. The hearts on the top of the card and on the tag for the box are punched using the Confetti Heart punch. The heart on the sentiment is one of our Brights Enameled Embellishments. I used solid black baker’s twine wrapped around 4 times as my ribbon.
Here is a close up of the card:
Here is the box – thanks to Michelle Long from the Artisan Design Team for the idea:
The box is made using the Envelope Punch Board as follows:
- Cut a 6×6 piece of Designer Series Paper
- Score and punch each side at 2 1/8″ and 3 7/8″
- Cut in to form tabs on two opposite sides
- Fold on all score lines
- Adhere tabs using Tear & Tape
Here is a picture of the box scored and the tabs cut:
The belly band around the box is a 7 1/2 x 2″ strip of Vellum card stock. Score at 6 1/4″, 5″, 2 1/2″, and 1 1/4″. After scoring, use the Scalloped Tag Topper punch to punch both ends. Tie together and add a tag.
These boxes hold around 5 Hershey Chocolate hearts.

Hi! Today I am playing along with this week’s Global Design Project challenge #GDP067 This week it is a theme challenge and it is to use a tree.
I decided to pull out my Vertical Greetings stamp set and make a Valentine’s Day card:
I thought the Heart Tree in a pot would be perfect! What do you think? I did use markers to color the image – Real Red, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. The sentiment is in Basic Black and Real Red. In case you can’t tell, I trimmed off 1″ of the front and adhered my Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card. A little different look. To finish off the card, I used the Brights Enamel Shapes.
Thanks for stopping by!
Good morning! Today I have a sneak peek for you as my pre-order from the Occasions catalog came yesterday and I couldn’t resist using some of the goodies I got!
This card uses products from the Love Blossoms Suite. In this card, I used the Bloomin’ Love stamp set, Blushing Bride glimmer paper and the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper stack. (These products will be available to order on January 5, 2016) Paired it with the Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon and some sequins from the Blushing Bride Sequin trim and there you have it. A little bit of sparkle to brighten anyone’s day. The sentiment is from the Six Sayings hostess set found in the Holiday Catalog – you still have time to get this set with a $150 order or host a catalog party before January 4th!
I also designed this card using the Global Design Projects Sketch for this week’s challenge – #GDP014 Such a pretty sketch that can be used to inspire so many different types of cards.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you enjoy a little sparkle in your day!
