Birthday Flowers

Butterfly Crumb_small

Good morning!  I had so much fun playing in the Global Design Project Challenge last week, that I decided to play along again.  This week’s challenge, #GDP013 is a color combo – Real Red, Old Olive, and Crumb Cake.  I love this color combo – it is great for Christmas cards (which I should be working on).  But, I also have some December birthdays to celebrate so went with that theme for my card today.  The majority of the images are from the Butterfly Basics stamp set – such a gorgeous set to work with.  I don’t know if you can tell, but I popped up the flowers (tho not the stems) to add some dimension to the card.  I am pretty happy with how it turned out and hope the recipient enjoys it as well.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hi Teresa! What a beautiful birthday card using the colours from our challenge. It is nice to see a non Christmas entry for a change, lol. Thanks so much for playing at Global Design Project this week.

  2. Teresa – great card with these colors. Your flowers really stand out in the gallery. I love that you glued down the stems but not the flowers – adds such depth to the card. Thank you so much for playing along with this week’s color challenge with the Global Design Project.

  3. Hi, Massachusetts neighbor. Thanks for sharing your lovely card with Global Design Project. Love that you stepped out of the “Christmas box” with these colors.
