A Little Late

Sorry!  I am a little late posting the winner of last week’s Blog Candy for What Would Teresa Stamp.  Congratulations to Brenda Whitner!

I also said I’d be back with the other take on the cards that everyone made – so here you go.

I made these two samples:

SU! Perfect Pennants, It's My Party

I provided supplies using various DSP and ribbon and each guest chose a paper bag and made the same style card using the pieces in their bag.  Here are a few of them:

KateDiagCut_crop

BethDiagCut_crop

KristenDaigCut_crop

I think they all did a great job!  And while I had a few duplicate bags with supplies, not one of the six there ended up with the same DSP.   I think they enjoyed it.

Don’t forget, May 31st marks the last day to get retiring items!  Stamp sets, like Perfect Pennants used on some of these cards, are now while supplies last!  You can find all the retiring items (what hasn’t sold out yet) in my on-line store here:

What Would Teresa Stamp?

Good morning!  Today I am excited to share with you a game I played at Friday night’s Sale-A-Bration Celebration.  This event was a party that was held for those who qualified with me during Sale-A-Bration.  It took a little longer to hold it than I had planned, but I think those that were able to come, had a good time.

We played a game called What Would Teresa Stamp.  I put all the supplies in a bin that I had used to make a card – the stamp set, the ink pads, sponges, masking template, accessories and card stock.  They needed to use those supplies to make a card that they thought would match what I had done.  At the end, I showed them the card I made.   Ready to see their creations?

Here is Beth’s card:

Here is Gretchen’s:

Here is Diane’s:

Here is Kate’s:

Here is Kristen’s:

Here is Sue’s:

I love all their ideas!  It was fun to watch them try to decide what to use and think about what I might have done.  Love the idea of making a fence with the wood banner that Diane and Sue used.  The different colors each chose for their bird as well.   I wouldn’t have thought to do that – but will try it!  Ready to see my card?

SU! Choose Happiness

Pretty simple, I know – but that is mostly my style.   So, who do you think is the closest to mine?  Leave a comment by May 23rd (next Monday) and I’ll draw one random winner to receive a set of Brights Colored Card Stock and coordinating Candy Dots!

Check back later in the week and I’ll show the other cards we made!

An Owl & A Penguin

Hi!  Today I have two cards to share with you for two very special people who are graduating from college.  I am bummed I can’t make their party to help celebrate, but will be sending these out so they know I am happy for their achievement.

SU! Owl Punch, SU! Sassy Salutations

I pulled out my owl punch and since one of them has a fondness for penguins, modified the owl into a penguin by trimming off his ears and feet.  I then punched out feet in Pumpkin Pie cardstock and attached those instead.  The graduation hat is free cut.  I sketched out a template and then used that to cut my black hats.   I also dyed the Vanilla Thick Baker’s twine with Garden Green ink to match the school colors.  I used an enamel dot colored with a black sharpie for the button on top of the hat.   The sentiment is from Sassy Salutations – which is sadly retiring at the end of this month.

What do you think?

I know I posted a sneak peek in a previous post for the May Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin kit – well, if you want, here is a look at the stamp set that comes with the kit:

Father’s Day Blog Hop

May16Banner

Welcome to the Stamp It Group Father’s Day Blog Hop!  I hope you are enjoying all the Father’s Day inspiration!

My card today features the Going Global suite from the Occasions Catalog.

SU! Going Global

I chose a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Going Places Designer Series pack for my background.  The world is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink after stamping off once on scrap paper.  I then decided to “pop” up the land by outlining it with my stylus from the front, then flipping it over and running the stylus on the back of the land using my outline as a guide.  Here is a closer look:

SU! Going Global

Pretty cool, right?  The sentiment is stamped in Archival Basic Black on Lost Lagoon and the end is punched with the Bitty Banner punch.

I love this suite for masculine cards and am a little sad it isn’t carrying over to the next Annual catalog.  But, you still have until May 31 to order any of these products before they are gone for good.

We are also doing a giveaway this month – just leave a comment with #stampitcontest and you will be entered in a drawing to win the Watercolor Wishes kit.

May16Giveaway

Congratulations to Janet Headrick for winning the kit in the April Mother’s Day hop.

Make sure you visit each hopper and leave comments as you go to increase your chances of winning!

Six Sided Thanks

KyliesBlogHighlight

Hi!  I am participating once again in Kylie’s Blog Highlight that you can find here.  The theme this month is “Thanks”!  If you like my card, I’d appreciate it if you would hop on over to Kylie’s blog and click on the little heart in the upper right corner of my card to give it your vote.

SU! Six Sided Sampler. Gorgeous Grunge, Bold Butterfly

I sent this card to Lyssa Zwolanek to say thanks for the new blog header, watermark, and signature you now see on my blog.  Don’t they look great!! I love how they turned out!  I used the colors I had asked her to use for my blog and, of course, it wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t add on a butterfly  The idea for the card is CASEd from the 2015-16 Annual Catalog.  I am sad to see the Six Sided Sampler set on the retiring list – as it is fun to play with and so easy to use.  If you don’t own this set yet, you have until the end of this month to purchase it before it is no longer available.  Just click on the set below to get to my store.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will pop over to Kylie’s and not only vote for my card, but check out all the other great cards made using only Stampin’ Up! product.

Sketch Time

Hi!  Today I am playing along with Global Design Project’s Sketch Challenge #GDP034  This is my take on their sketch.

SU! Lovely as a Tree, Thoughts & Prayers

I created a mask using the Oval Framelits that are sadly, retiring.  I sponged Pear Pizzazz for my grass and Soft Sky for the sky.  I then used my markers to color the tree from Lovely As A Tree – Soft Suede for the trunk and Pear Pizzazz for the grass and leaves.  The sentiment is from the Thoughts & Prayers set and stamped in Soft Suede ink.  Making sympathy cards is always hard to do, but I am happy that Stampin’ Up! has a variety of sets that can be used.

Little Birdies…

are stopping by to say Hello!  I attended my upline’s demonstrator meeting the other night and made this card for my swap.  It is always fun to see what others make as well as share ideas and have fun stamping.  I wanted to make a card that featured product that was staying in the new catalog so that the sample would be good for more than just the month of May.

SU! Made with Love, Endless Birthday Wishes, Watercolor Wash

The little birds are from Made with Love – a baby set and the hello comes from Endless Birthday Wishes.  I stamped the word first, then free hand drew the lines out to the edges with my marker.  The birds were stamped next and then colored with markers as well.  The background is the Watercolor Wash stamp inked in Pool Party.  Finally, I embossed a scrap of So Saffron card stock with the Boho Chic embossing folder.  Pretty quick – but pretty cute if I do say so myself.  LOL.

We are in the final month of the 2015-2016 catalog – as well as the final month of the Occasions Catalog.  Don’t forget to get your orders in for those retiring must haves before they are gone for good!
