Quick Picks

Hi!  Yesterday, my girls finished up their run of Dance Prism’s The Nutcracker and there was a cast party at the end.  The girls exchanged little gifts with their friends and we made a few gifts for the adults who helped them with choreography and quick changes.  It had been a pretty busy week, so we went simple and used the boxes Stampin’ Up! has in their catalogs.  For one of the girls, we made these boxes:

SU! Presents & Pinecones, White 3x3 Boxes

I love these boxes found in the Holiday Catalog!  Thankfully they are carrying over for the rest of this catalog year – they were easy to decorate and the clear plastic sleeve adds a nice finishing touch.  The Designer Paper used is the Presents & Pinecones (which IS retiring).  To finish up the package, we made little tags with coordinating paper on which to write the recipient’s name.  The boxes are 3×3 and fit 10 Lindt truffles.  I am not a bow maker, so we did use some bows we had on hand for the tops.

For my other child, we made these boxes:

SU! Candy Cane Lane

These are the retired 2×2 boxes, but you could easily use the clear 2×2 boxes we now carry (I didn’t happen to have any – not sure how THAT happened and they are going on my next order!).  We chose the Candy Cane Lane paper to decorate the sides and then used the Real Red trimmed ribbon and the coordinating Gingerbread trinkets to finish off the box.  These hold 6 Ghiradelli squares perfectly!

These really are quick and easy to put together and are great to have on hand for when you need a small package for a friend or neighbor.

Thanks for stopping by!
