Hi! Welcome to the Team Stamp It! Valentine’s Day Blog Hop! I hope you are enjoying the projects we have prepared for you for Valentine’s Day!
I went a little non-traditional on my color scheme – hope you don’t mind.
My all time favorite hostess set is the Love You Lots set – the animals are just adorable and make great cards for any occasion. Today I am using this little frog. I used the new Watercolor Pencils to color him in along with a blender pen. The hearts on the top of the card and on the tag for the box are punched using the Confetti Heart punch. The heart on the sentiment is one of our Brights Enameled Embellishments. I used solid black baker’s twine wrapped around 4 times as my ribbon.
Here is a close up of the card:
Here is the box – thanks to Michelle Long from the Artisan Design Team for the idea:
The box is made using the Envelope Punch Board as follows:
- Cut a 6×6 piece of Designer Series Paper
- Score and punch each side at 2 1/8″ and 3 7/8″
- Cut in to form tabs on two opposite sides
- Fold on all score lines
- Adhere tabs using Tear & Tape
Here is a picture of the box scored and the tabs cut:
The belly band around the box is a 7 1/2 x 2″ strip of Vellum card stock. Score at 6 1/4″, 5″, 2 1/2″, and 1 1/4″. After scoring, use the Scalloped Tag Topper punch to punch both ends. Tie together and add a tag.
These boxes hold around 5 Hershey Chocolate hearts.

Loving this one! My daughter’s nickname is foggy because she used to sit on my back when she was little like a little frog sits on a log. We would watch TV like this. She is 18 now and mama’s back would probably break if she did it now, but she is still my foggy or in Spanish, sapita! #stampitcontest
