Now on to today’s card.
I finally had a chance to play around with the Birthday Blast bundle. Fun set and I can see lots of uses for it other than birthdays. It would be great for 4th of July invitations or as a congratulations for any occasion – graduation, new baby, new house – the possibilities are endless!
For my version -I was going for a masculine feel – as I have many male birthdays to celebrate this month in my family. I decided to give some depth to the card by using dimensionals on the top two layers. My colors are Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler and Dapper Denim. I also added a little dimension to the stars by dragging the tips over my Cherry Cobbler ink pad. The sentiment is stamped in Dapper Denim. Overall, I am pretty happy with how it turned out. The nice things about this – I have lots of stars I can attach to the inside of the card as well as on the outside of the envelope.
Thanks for stopping by!

Please what are dimensions on the layers? I have 3 birthday cards to make for July

Hi Dorothea – the base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 in Dapper Denim. The Whisper White layer is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8. The 3 layers that are die cut were 4 1/8 width by 4 1/4, 4 1/2, 4 3/4″ tall respectively. After cutting the Sahara Sand layer, I used that to line up the die on the Cherry Cobbler and the Dapper Denim so they were aligned left-to-right. Does that make sense?
