A Daisy Thank You

Hi!  Today I am playing along with Kylie’s International Blog Highlight!  The theme is Gratitude – Thailand inspired.   I designed a Thank You card to thank my customers this month who purchase from me – and are helping me toward my goal of earning this year’s incentive trip to Alaska!

Daisy Delight, SU!, Stampin' Up!

This card features the Daisy Delight stamp set.  I wanted to make a card just using the stamp set – to show you do not need the punch to make a gorgeous card with the set.  My colors are Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Perfect Plum and Pear Pizzazz.    The flower panel is matted on Perfect Plum cardstock.  Thick Whisper White is used for the card base.  The sentiment and ribbon are Powder Pink.

I’d love your vote for this card in Kylie’s highlight! If I make the Top 10, I’ll get to hop along with Kylie and the others in a special hop in August!  To vote for my card, simply go here.

If you’d like to receive this card in the mail this month and live in the US, simply place an order through my on-line store and I’ll send one out!

Fun With Embossing Paste!

Hi!  Today I have a card I made using the new Embossing Paste!!  I love it!

Lift Me Up, Embossing Paste, SU!, Stampin' Up!

Those clouds just pop off the page!  Have you tried the Embossing Paste yet?  If not, do NOT wait!! It is so fun and easy to use!  Here is what I did:

  1. Lay a template – this is the Cloud Template from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.  Use painter’s tape or a sticky note to keep the cardstock and template in place.
  2. Use a palette knife to spread the Embossing Paste over the template.  If you only want partially – you can mask the template with scrap paper so only the clouds you want to emboss are open.
  3. Scrape off the excess paste and put it back in the jar.
  4. Let dry.  This is pretty quick.  While it is drying, you can work on the rest of your project.

For this card, I decided to finally pull out the Lift Me Up stamp set which thankfully carried over from the Occasions Catalog to the 2017-18 Annual Catalog.   I stamped the two hot air balloon images from the set in Crushed Curry and die cut with the coordinating dies.

For the main hot air balloon, I used the Color Theory Designer Series Paper stack and Dapper Denim Cardstock.   I love how the different sizes of balloons gives a sense of depth to the card.

So, what do you think?  Are you going to give Embossing Paste a try?  I sure hope so!  If you don’t have any, why don’t you hop over to my on-line store and order some today!  Just click here.  Don’t forget the masks and palette knives!  (And that a $50 (US) order prior to S/H and tax earns you $5 BONUS DAYS coupon!)

More Shells

Hi!  I continued playing with So Many Shells stamp set since it was still sitting out after yesterday’s card.

So Many Shells, Timeless Textures, SU! Stampin' Up!

Today’s color combination is Pool Party and Crumb Cake.   I did stamp the shells off on scrap before stamping on the Very Vanilla square as I wanted a more muted look for them.  I also only stamped the more detailed image for the top 2 shells.  I did stamp both images for the bottom shell to get a more complete look.

While it is hard to see in the full view, here is a close-up of one of the shells – I added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the shells for a sparkly look:

So Many Shells, SU!, Stampin' Up!

The speckles on the right hand side are from Touches of Texture and stamped off once before stamping on the Very Vanilla panel.  The sentiment is from So Many Shells in full strength Pool Party ink.

I do wish my Crumb Cake speckles were a little lighter so the sentiment would pop a bit more.  If I make more of these, I will do 2nd generation stamping on the Crumb Cake for an even lighter look.

You will find all the supplies to make this card in my on-line store.  Just click any of the images below and you will be in my store.

I appreciate your support of my business.  I am working on earning an Alaskan Cruise – still a ways to go – but your support is a great help!

Shells For a Friend

Hi! Today I am playing along with the sketch challenge for Global Design Projects – #GDP094.

So Many Shells, Wood Words, SU! Stampin' Up!

For my card, I used the Bundle of Love Designer Series Paper for my background and the shells from So Many Shells.  The sand dollar is Blush Blossom and Calypso Coral and the shell is So Saffron and Crushed Curry.  The sentiment is from Wood Words and stamped in Early Espresso.  My cardstock is Very Vanilla and Early Espresso.

It was fun trying to come up with a design following the sketch.  I have a few others in mind that I hope to try later today.
