Have A Cuppa

Hi!  Today I bring you a Cup of Cheer!  Love this Merry Cafe set in the Holiday Catalog!

Merry Cafe, Coffee, Winter, Birthday, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I am not a coffee drinker, so the Coffee Cafe set in the Annual Catalog did not do much for me.  However, I do love hot chocolate and tea – and love that the Merry Cafe set covers both – plus can be used for Hallowee, Fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Winter and Valentines!  How much more versatile can you get?  And, if you are a coffee drinker – it pairs well with the Coffee Cafe set and coordinating dies!

This card is very quick and easy – and is one of the options for the attendees at Saturday’s Stamp Buffet.  The background behind the cup is watercolored with an Aqua Painter.  The snowflakes are stamped after die cutting the mug.  The sentiment is stamped first since the die does add the little ridges for to the wrapper.   I did use dimensionals to pop up the lid -those cute little mini ones work perfectly!  A little bling with the Foil Frenzy Designer Series Paper, Perfect Accents and Natural Linen thread, and voila!   Perfect card for winter – or any occasion really!  Tuck a gift card inside and use it for a birthday!

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love Fall?

Hi! Today I am hopping with the Stamp It! Group for a Halloween/Fall themed hop!

I came across this fun and easy fold and thought I’d share it with you today for my fall card.

Lovely as a Tree, StampItHop, Fall, Painted Autumn, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I used Lovely as a Tree for my center panel giving it fall colors.  I colored directly with markers on the stamp, then used a blender pen and ink to fill in the trunk and grass.  The birds are hand drawn with a marker.   I sponged a bit of Soft Sky around the tree.   The sentiment is from One Big Meaning.  I colored the Thank You with the Cajun Craze marker so that I could omit the other words on the stamp.  The acorns are from Painted Harvest and stamped in Crumb Cake for the nut and Early Espresso for the top.

The Designer Paper on the outside is from the Painted Autumn Designer Series pack.  The inside panels are from the Wood Textures Designer Series stack.

So, how do you make the card.  Here are the directions:

  1. Base: 4 1/4″ x 8″ – score at 1 1/4″, 2 1/2″, 5 1/2″ and 6 3/4″
  2. Fold down on the 1 1/4″ and 6 3/4″ score lines and up on the other two.
  3. Designer Series Paper Panels measure 1″ x 4″.
  4. The center image panel is 2 1/2 x 3 3/4.  The Cajun Craze mat is 2 3/4 x 4″.
  5. The sentiment panel is 1″ x 5 1/4″. The Early Espresso mat is 1 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.
  6. To attach the bridge, lay the card so it is folded on the left hand side but flat on the right hand side.  See picture below.
  7. Apply Tear & Tape to just the two ends of the bridge so that the card can move and stand upright.
  8. The size of the card allows for mailing in our standard card envelopes.

I hope you like my card!

Blessed Leaves

Hi!  Today I am back to Fall with this Vintage Leaves card that is being offered as one of the card options on Sept 30th’s Stamp Buffet.

Fall, Leaves, Vintage Leaves, Hardwood, Paisleys & Posies, Stampin' Up, SU!

I must say, I truly LOVE fall – the smells, the colors, the crisp air – there is nothing better in the Northeast.  I am very happy with how this card turned out – each leaf was stamped in the same color as the card stock, then die cut with the coordinating framelits.  The hardwood background is also stamped in the same color as the cardstock.  The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso.  A little natural linen thread and there you have it.  Such a simple but oh, so pretty card for fall.

If you live in or near Northborough, MA – consider attending my Stamp Buffet on Sept 30.  I am offering 3 different times on that day to come and stamp.  Contact me for details.

Congratulations to Beth B!!  She is the winner of the Painted Harvest bundle!  I’ll get that in the mail to you!

Witchy Treat

Hi!  How are you today?  I am doing fabulous!  I had so much fun last night doing the Holiday Catalog Party on Facebook – hoping those of you that joined me, had fun, too!

Today, I have an adorable Treat Tube holder to share.  The idea came from BJ Peters is so easy to make!  We will be making these at the September 30 Stamp Buffet!

Halloween, Treat Holder, Spooky Cat, Witch, Stampin' Up!, SU!

The hat is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink (stamped off on scrap once).  The buckle is colored with Crushed Curry marker and then the entire hat is colored with the clear Wink of Stella glitter pen (which doesn’t really show in this picture).

To make the holder, simply score a 4x 7 7/8″ piece of cardstock at 3″, 3 5/8″, and 4 1/4″ along the 7 7/8″ edge.  Then cut between the score lines at 1 5/8″ and 2 3/8″ along the 4″ edge.  This creates the little holder for the tube. Place adhesive between the second and third score lines outside the cut lines.

Here’s a picture showing the score lines, cut lines, and adhesive placement.

Such a cute way to pass out Halloween treats this year!

I am hosting a Stamp Buffet on Saturday, Sept 30 – three sessions 10am-Noon, 1pm-3pm, 4pm-6pm EST.  If you are interested, please contact me and I’ll be happy to send you more details!

Jingle Bells

Hi!  Breaking up the fall cards to pop in this adorable Christmas card using the little deer from the Seasonal Chums stamp set.

Seasonal Chums, Merry Melody DSP, Christmas, Stampin' Up!, SU!, DIY Crafts

He is just so cute!  The Merry Medley Designer Series Paper has a sheet with Jingle Bells and I thought it perfect for my background.  The deer is stamped with Basic Black Archival ink on Crumb Cake card stock.  His antlers, spots and hooves are colored with Chocolate Chip marker, the ears with Pink Pirouette, the bow with Real Red and the bell with Crushed Curry.  While you can’t see it in this view, I colored over the bell with the Wink of Stella marker.   I used the coordinating framelits to cut him out – so quick and easy!

The sentiment is from the Merry Cafe stamp set.  A little gold ribbon to finish him off.  A pretty quick and easy card to make if you need to mass produce your cards.   He is one of the cards that will be available for attendees to make at the Sept 30 Stamp Buffet.

If you haven’t yet, there is still time to join my Holiday Catalog Facebook party!  Just click on this link to join the group!  It all starts at 7pm Tuesday, Sept 12th!

Time for an Eclipse

Hi!  No, it isn’t a solar eclipse!  It is a new technique I tried and LOVE! and will be sharing at a workshop this afternoon.

Lovely As A Tree, Holly Berry Happiness, Christmas, Eclipse, Stampin' Up!, SU!

We won’t be making this exact card – this is one of the cards, tho, that folks can make at my Stamp Buffet on September 30th.

Here is how you make an eclipse card (or atleast, this is the way I did it):

  1. Stamp a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 piece of Whisper White with the pine tree from Lovely as A Tree in Garden Green ink.  I stamped the image twice before reinking – so I’d get some depth to the trees.
  2. Stamp berries on the trees in Real Red to make ornaments.
  3. Die cut NOEL using the Large Letter Framelits from the Whisper White panel.
  4. Remove the letters and apply adhesive to the back of the panel and adhere to a Chocolate Chip mat that is 4 1/16 x 5 5/16.
  5. Set the “O” back in the opening and use that to adhere the center of the O to the mat.
  6. Tie a piece of 1/8″ Real Red ribbon around the bottom.
  7. Adhere the Chocolate Chip mat to a Garden Green base.
  8. Place mini dimensionals or strips of foam adhesive to the back of the letters and adhere in the openings to pop them up.

Other versions of this technique are to die-cut multiple letters and adhere all together to get the thickness you desire and then place the letters in the openings.   You can also offset the letters a little bit in the opening so you see the mat layer peeking through.

I hope my guests today enjoy this technique and those attending the stamp buffet on the 30th choose this as one of their cards.

Halloween Treats

Hi!  How are you today?  I hope doing well!  Today I have a little holder to share with you!  I saw these adorable holders designed by Kelly Acheson – here is a link to her video.  Had to give it a try for Halloween.

Seasonal Chums, Pumpkins, Cats, Spooky Cat, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Treat Holders, Hershey Nugget, Halloween

Are these not the cutest?  Here is the back side of the pumpkin:

Seasonal Chums, Halloween, Treat Holder, Pumpkins, Stampin' Up!, SU!

These little guys hold 6 nuggets each!  I made a bunch of these to sell at a craft fair – I can’t wait to see how they do!

The pumpkins are stamped in Basic Black Archival ink on Pumpkin Pie card stock.  I colored the leaves with an Old Olive marker and the faces with a Basic Black marker.   The cat is actually just punched from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper!  No stamping needed!  The moon behind the cat is a 2 1/4″ circle of Daffodil Delight.  The Designer Series Paper on both boxes is also from the Spooky Night pack and is 1/2″ by 8 3/4″ long.

I used Tear & Tape to assemble my holder.

Hope you enjoyed today’s project!

Patterned Pumpkins

Hi! Today I have a card for you made with the Pick A Pumpkin stamp set and Patterned Pumpkins coordinating thinlets.  Did you know you can purchase these two items as a bundle and save 10%?  I love a deal!

Pumpkins, Pick a Pumpkin, Patterned Pumpkins, Halloween, Stampin' Up!, SU!

The pumpkins are stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink and the stem is colored with Old Olive.  The faces are stamped with Basic Black Archival ink.  A quick tip if you want to make multiples – line up the pumpkins on one block – leaving enough room in between each pumpkin for the metal thinlet to cut it out – and stamp them together.  Then, line up the faces on the pumpkins where you want them to be (do not ink them yet), then place your clear acrylic block over the faces to pick them up at one time.  This way they are aligned on your block and you can stamp all three at the same time.   This will also allow you to die cut all three pumpkins at the same time!

The sentiment is from Seasonal Chums stamp set and the bat is die cut from the coordinating Seasonal Tags framelits.  I love how our products coordinate!  The border for the sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  It is inked in Basic Black while the sentiment is stamped in Old Olive.   These are then punched out with the Classic Label punch.

The Designer Series Paper on the left is  a piece from the Merry Little Christmas paper pack.  The patterns in this pack aren’t just for Christmas!  The card is finished with a little bit of the Basic Black Vintage Crochet Trim.

Don’t forget, you can order a sample of all the Holiday Catalog Designer Series Papers.  Just fill out the form below by Sept 10th.  I will send a paypal invoice to you for payment.   Each share is $17.50 plus $5 S/H if you are not local to Northboro, MA.  This is for US customers only.  You will get a total of 56 6×6 pieces of Designer Series Paper.

Place an on-line order of $50 US prior to S/H and tax, in my store using the specified  hostess code by September 15 and you will receive this Painted Harvest tutorial FREE!

Painted Harvest

Hi!  I am so excited as today is the launch of the Holiday Catalog!!  One of my favorite sets in the catalog is the Painted Harvest set – perfect for your fall needs.   See below how you can win this set!!

Painted Harvest, Sunflowers, Holiday 2017, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I saw this sketch a few weeks back at Freshly Made Sketches and wanted to give it a try.  I made this card for a swap I participated in with other demonstrators to showcase the new Holiday Catalog sets.  I am hoping to get my swaps over the weekend. Hopefully, those who got this card, like it.

I stamped the sunflower petals in Crushed Curry. The center dark circle is Chocolate Chip stamped off once.  The very center seeds are stamped in Crumb Cake.

My sentiment is also stamped in Chocolate Chip.

For the panel, I cut a piece of Very Vanilla at 3 1/2 x 4 3/4″.   I then cut off the bottom right corner.  I angled the card stock more the bottom left corner to create my shape.   The Chocolate Chip panel is 3 5/8 x 4 7/8″.   I attached the Very Vanilla panel to the Chocolate Chip (after it was stamped) and used those edges to guide the angled cuts on the Chocolate Chip panel.   Tie a piece of Crushed Curry ribbon along the top before adhering the panel to Thick Very Vanilla base.  The sentiment was stamped last.

When using this set, I highly recommend having the Stampin’ Pierce Mat under your card stock – especially for the sentiments.

Because I love this set so much, I am giving away a FREE bundle!!  Just leave a comment by September 14th, and I will draw one lucky winner on the 15th to receive this set and the coordinating punch!!  (Sorry, I can only offer this to US residents per Stampin’ Up! policy.)

I am offering a Paper Share for the Designer Series Papers in the Holiday Catalog!   This is for US only!  Each share is $17.50 (plus $5 S/H).  You will get 6×6 samples of all the papers shown below for a total of 56 sheets!  Please email me at teresa.howe@verizon.net if you are interested.  Order must be placed by September 10th with payment.  Shares will be shipped by the end of September.
