Hi! We had our first snowfall of the season the other day (had to shovel as well) so why not share a card or two made from the Snow Is Glistening set. The Snowflake Showcase featuring these products ends on Nov 30 – so order today!
For this card, I sponged the background using Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and Highland Heather inks. The Snowflakes are die cut from Whisper White card stock and adhered with adhesive. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy on a scrap of Whisper White and the ends punched with the Triple Banner Bunch.
I didn’t have any Night of Navy ribbon, so I colored the Whisper White with Silver trim using the Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends – so quick and easy to do! The final touch is a Snowflake Trinket.
Here is another version of the card – but this time I used the Inset Embossing Technique after adhered the snowflakes:
A little hard to see the difference – here’s a closer view:
By running the card stock with the snowflakes attached through the Big Shot with the Subtle Embossing Folder, it looks like the snowflakes are now part of the paper – not just on top of it.
You can see how I did this in this video:
Pretty cool, don’t you think?
