Three-In-One

Hi!  Today I have a great way to use Designer Series Paper and such a fun look, too!

Honey Bee, Thank You, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2020Occasions

Is this set just the cutest?  And you can make all 3 cards quick and easy!

What you need:

3 pieces of cardstock and/or Designer Series Paper measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″

Stack all three pieces together and cut all three together into 3 pieces.  Then mix and match the pieces into 3 cards!  Since all three pieces were cut together, they all fit together as well!

For these cards, I used Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock along with the Golden Honey Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration (sorry – this item isn’t available, but there are still lots of other great products you can earn FREE with a $50 purchase until March 31st).

I layered these on Thick Whisper White cardstock measuring 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ and folded.

To finish the cards, I colored the leaves and flowers in Crushed Curry and Garden Green markers, the sentiment in Jet Black StaZon and die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  The bee is stamped in Jet Black StaZon, die cut with coordinating die and colored with the Crushed Curry marker.

Here’s a video of this technique – just used with the Painted Poppies suite of products:

Positively Birthday

Hi!  Back today with another card featuring the Positive Thoughts stamp set and coordinating Nature’s Thoughts dies.

Birthday, Positive Thoughts, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2020Occasions

As you can see, I kept the same color palette used in Monday’s card.

Texture was added through the use of the Subtle Embossing Folder on the Very Vanilla mat and Sripty 3D Embossing Folder on the Soft Suede Frame as well as the Pool Party Stitched Circle.  The sentiment and feather are stamped in Soft Suede.

I love the Vellum layer added behind the main elements.  It adds to the softness of the card.

If I’ve convinced you you need the Positive Thoughts stamp set and dies, I’d love if you’d head over to my On-line store to purchase them.

Positive Thoughts on Texture

Hi!  This week I am featuring Positive Thoughts here on my blog!  Today I have a card to share with you that we made in February’s Card Club.  My Card Club ladies are advanced stampers, so I step up the cards that we make in this class.  Here is the first one:

Friend, Positive Thoughts, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2020Occasions

I absolutely LOVE the Positive Thoughts stamp set in the Occasions Catalog.  The fact that Stampin’ Up! is now offering coordinating dies through the Coordination release makes this a must have bundle for all.  I can see using these for birthday, Mother’s Day, thinking of you and even sympathy.  Or, in the case of this card, just letting the recipient know how much you appreciate them being in your life.

As I mentioned, there is quite a bit of texture to this card – from the Tin Tile Embossing on the background layer, the use of Stitched Rectangle Dies and the mix of stamped and just plain die cuts – I love the combination.

I love the muted colors – Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and a pop of Pool Party.    The natural linen thread finishes it off.

If you don’t already have this stamp set and coordinating dies, shop my on-line store today to get yours!  The dies are while supplies last – so don’t miss out!

Welcome to the Jungle

Hi!  Today I have 2 cards to share with you featuring the Bonanza Buddies Suite in the Occasions Catalog.

Birthday, Bonanza Buddies, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2020Occasions        Birthday, Bonanza Buddies, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2020Occasions

Aren’t they adorable?  I am sharing both cards together because the backgrounds were created from one piece of cardstock!  Pretty cool, right?

I took a piece of Garden Green cardstock, embossed it with the Layering Leaves TIEF and then die cut the center to create a frame for one card and a background for the second.  I thought this was a great way to make two cards at the same time.

The coordinating Bonanza Buddies Dies were used to die cut the Toucan, Koala, hat, and balloon.  The colors are Terracotta Tile, Crushed Curry and Garden Green.   For the Koala, I also used the Subtle Embossing folder to emboss the Terracotta Tile cardstock strip.

Here is the video showing the making of both cards:

Don’t forget, Sale-A-Bration is in full swing and you can earn FREE products with every $50 purchase.

A Little Watercoloring

Hi!  Today I have a card featuring the Varied Vases stamp set.  I had some Watercolor Paper sitting out and decided to play with the Pigment Sprinkles – these are similar to the Brushos we used to carry but are now in Stampin’ Up! Colors!

Watercoloring, Varied Vases, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Birthday, Pigment Sprinkles, #2019AnnualCatalog

To achieve the look of the varied colors, I used the Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo sprinkles then spritzed with water. Once the paper dried, I die cut it with various dies and punches for my branches.

The card also features the Tin Tile Embossing Folder, retired Calypso Coral Ombre ribbon and the Varied Vases Stamp Set.

My color palette is Gray Granite, Calypso Coral and Whisper White.  This is a fun technique – if you like to play with the sprinkles.  No two pieces of Watercolor Paper turn out the same even when using the same colors of Pigment Sprinkles.

I hope you’ll give it a try!

A Daisy For You

or maybe two!  This past week in my Tuesday with Teresa segment on Facebook, I shared how to make these two fun Daisy cards.

Friend, Daisy Lane, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2019AnnualCatalog, Fun Fold

First up is this fun front using Mint Macaron as my card base.  The Birch stamp gives a fun backdrop for my daisy and is stamped in Crumb Cake ink.  The Daisy is stamped on Whisper White scrap and die cut with the Stitched Square.  A second daisy is stamped on another scrap and punched with the Large Daisy punch.  The bee is from the Honey Bee bundle found in the Occasion catalog.  A little Wink of Stella on the flower center and the bee finish it off.

The second card is a design I came across by demonstrator Wendy Cranford.  This is called the Triple Flap Fold:

Birthday, Daisy Lane, Fun Fold, #2019AnnualCatalog, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I like different folds and openings and this definitely fit the bill.  The colors for this card are Early Espresso, Night of Navy and Soft Sea Foam.

I’ve created this PDF for the dimensions for both cards.

Here is the video where I make both:
