Hi! Today is the start of a new week and I hope the beginning of a good one for you. As most people who have followed me for a while know, fall is my favorite time of year. I know its still a little ways off, but I couldn’t resist pulling out the Rooted In Nature stamp set and dies for this card.
I love the colors for this card – Terracotta Tile, Pear Pizzazz and Gray Granite. The fun in this card comes from the two leaves at the top – this is the Faux Suede technique. It is very easy, you simply take a bone folder to break the fibers in your card stock and separate the cardstock into 2 layers. Here’s the video for that – the technique starts at around 9:30:
The sentiment is from the Free as a Bird stamp set. The card is finished off with the Braided Linen Trim.
I hope you give this technique a try – and see how a little bit of dimension can be added to spice up your card.
