Hi! Today I have a card to share featuring brayered bricks. We were playing with brayers in a recent workshop, and I shared how you could use the brayer on embossed images.
First, pick a colored cardstock – for this I used Crumb Cake. Run the cardstock through your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss with the Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder. Then use the brayer to apply ink to the embossed cardstock. Here I used Early Espresso. If you do not want to flatten your image, leave the cardstock in the folder and apply the ink. The folder allows the cardstock to hold the shape of the embossing folder while the ink is applied.
To finish this card, I used more of those Baby Wipe leaves from the Love of Leaves bundle (yes, I still have some left to use) with some linen thread. The sentiment is from Autumn Goodness. This is die cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies and layered on Early Espresso cardstock.
The base is Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″. Score at 5 1/2″ and fold. An Early Espresso layer measuring 4 1/16″ x 5 5/16″ is adhered to the base before adhering the embossed brick layer.
Try adding some color to your embossing folder images and see what you come up with! The color pairings you can make – what fun.
Thanks for stopping by!
