More Scrappy Fun!

Hi!  Continuing on with our Snailed It Suite this week for today’s card.  And, wanted to give you another idea on how to use those Designer Series Paper scraps.

Hello, Friendship, Snailed It, DSP Scraps, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #JanJuneMini2021

This is such a fun layout to play with and so much you can do with it – plus a great way to use up those scraps!

For this card, I started with a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper pack measuring 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″.  On the 4 1/2″ side, cut at 2 1/4″.  Rotate, keeping both pieces together, and on the 3 1/4″ side, cut at 1 5/8″.  You now have 4 equal sized rectangles.  Keep them in order for placement on the card.

For a mat, I used Real Red Cardstock measuring 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″.  Cut on the 4 3/4″ side at 2 3/8″.  Rotate, keeping both pieces together, and cut on the 3 1/2″ side at 1 3/4″.    Attach the Designer Series Pieces to these 4 Real Red pieces.

For the base of the card, I used Blushing Bride measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ on the 8 1/2″ side and folded in half.  A layer of Basic White cardstock measuring 5 1/4″ x 4″ is layered on top.

Adhere 3 of the 4 squares as shown in the pattern above to the Basic White layer.  Stamp your sentiment in the lower right corner.   I punched a 2″ Real Red circle from scrap cardstock.

The mushrooms are stamped in Jet Black StaZon and colored with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen.  Colors are Garden Green, Real Red, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight.

Here’s another version using the Snail:

You don’t have to use all the same Designer Series Paper pattern, the final rectangles measure 2 1/4″ x 1 5/8″.  The mat layers measures 2 3/8″ x 1 3/4″.
