Life is Sweeter

Hi!  Today I have a card for you featuring the Share A Milkshake Bundle from the January-April Mini Catalog.  This is such a fun set and enables you to make such sweet cards.

Share A Milkshake, Friendship, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #JanAprilMini2023

I love Root Beer floats and thought I’d make a card featuring my favorite (tho, if you like Chocolate Shakes – this would work for those, too).

The base of the card is Bermuda Bay measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and folded.   A piece of Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper measuring 3″ x 5 1/2″ is attached to the front.

The milkshake glass is stamped in Soft Suede and the glass details are stamped in Early Espresso.   The scoop of ice cream is stamped in So Saffron. The straw is stamped in Bermuda Bay and the cherry in Real Red ink.  These pieces are die cut with the coordinating dies and the whip cream dollop on top is die cut from Basic White card stock.   A circle using the Stylish Shapes dies is die cut from Coastal Cabana card stock.  The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso and also die cut with a die from the Stylish Shapes dies.

There is a slit created in the ice cream when die-cut which is the perfect place to slide in the straw.

I can now share my favorite drink with a special friend.

If you purchase the Share A Milkshake bundle in my on-line store by March 31, you will receive a 4 project tutorial featuring this bundle.  So don’t wait! Grab the bundle today!

The Bird and I

are thinking of you!  I love birds (almost as much as butterflies) and had to get the Nested Friends bundle from the January-April Mini.  I hadn’t had much time to play with it, but did get this card made and it has sparked my creativity so I’ll be playing with the bundle a bit more in the near future.

Nested Friends, Bird, Friendship, Thinking of You, InColors21-23, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #JanAprilMini2023

I love using Blender Pens to color with ink – it allows the details of the stamp to shine through while getting complete coverage.  The nest is stamped in Early Espresso Ink and then I used a blender pen to spread the ink from stamping to color the nest.  I added a bit of color for the leaves using the soon-to-be retired Soft Succulent Marker.

The bird is also stamped in Early Espresso and colored with the same method as the nest.  I did add a little bit of Pumpkin Pie for his breast using a Watercolor Pencil.  The eggs are stamped in Balmy Blue ink.  Both the bird and eggs are die cut using the coordinating dies.

The sentiment is from my favorite Go To Greetings stamp set.  If you don’t have this set yet, you are missing out.  I love the fonts and different sizes of the images and use it frequently – as in – the set just sits on my table and does not get put away.

The base of the card is Soft Succulent – measuring 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ and folded.  The Basic White panel measure 3 3/4″ x 5″ and is mounted on a piece of Early Espresso measuring 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.

Hello Irresistible

Hi!  Today I am featuring the new On-Line Exclusive bundle, Irresistible Blooms.  In case you missed it, on March 1, Stampin’ Up! released quite a few products in the On-Line store and this suite is part of it.

Hello Irresistible, OnLine Exclusive, Hello, Flowers, Friendship, Split Card, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I started with Flirty Flamingo Card Stock for my base – measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and folded.

I then cut a piece of Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper 4″ x 5 1/4″.  I also cut a piece of Basic White card stock the same size.  The Basic White was die cut using the Split Card Textures dies.  This is attached to the Designer Series Paper using Stampin’ Seal, and then attached to the card base.

The flower is stamped in Versamark ink on Flirty Flamingo card stock, sprinkled with White Embossing powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.  The leaves are stamped in Versamark ink on Pear Pizzazz card stock, sprinkled with White Embossing powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.  The vine wreath, flower and leaves are die cut using the coordinating dies.

The sentiment is stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink on the lower right corner.  The wreath is attached using Stampin’ Seal.  The leaves are also attached using Stampin’ Seal.  The flower is attached with dimensionals.

A very pretty set with great sentiments to enhance any paper crafter’s tooi suite.  To shop the On-Line exclusives, click here.

Hello Dragonfly

Hi!  Back today with the third and final card using the Biggest Wish stamp set.  I went a little different for this one to show you can create a soft look as well as the bold looks I shared in the past two cards.

Dragonfly Garden, BIggest Wishes, Templates, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2022-23AnnualCatalog

To create the background, I created a template using the retired Nested Oval dies and a piece of chipboard from a package of Designer Series Paper cut to the dimensions of my card front – 3 3/4″ x 5″.  I placed the template over my Basic White layer and using the Blending Brushes, added Balmy Blue ink starting from the left top of the oval.  I didn’t completely color the oval – as I wanted to leave room for my sentiment.

The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The dragonfly is from Dragonfly Garden and stamped in the Tuxedo Black ink as well.  I used Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Combo pack and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Combo pack to color the wings.  Punch out with the coordinating punch.

The base of the card is Basic White Thick card stock measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and folded.  A Basic Black mat measuring 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ is used to frame the front panel.

So, whether going bold or subtle, the fonts in the Biggest Wish set are a great addition to your cards.

Thanks for hanging with me and my little grouping of cards featuring the Biggest Wish stamp set.

What To Do With Scraps

Hi!  As promised, I am back today with my second card featuring the Biggest Wish stamp set.

If you are like me and save even 1/2″ scraps of our gorgeous Designer Series Paper, then I have a card for you!

Scraps, Deisgn Series Paper, Biggest Wish, Thanks, Stampin' Up!,, SU!, #22-23AnnualCatalog

I love the pop of bright colors from the Flowers & More Designer Series Paper (host item in the January-April Mini 2023).  To create the panel, cut a piece of Basic Black card stock, 4″ x 2 1/4″ and grab coordinating strips of DSP that are 1/2″ wide.  Adhere the strips at an angle on the Basic Black card stock leaving a small gap between each strip.  Use your Paper Trimmer to cut off the strips that overhang the Basic Black.

The base of this card is Polished Pink – one of our retiring In Colors, cut at 4 1/4″ x 11, scored at 5 1/2″ and folded.   The Basic Black panel is adhered in the middle of the card.

Emboss two pieces of Basic White card stock measuring 1 3/4″ x 4″ with the Thanks folder from the Thanks & Hello pack.  I moved each piece to a different area to get different languages on each piece.  Attach these to the card front using dimensionals.

The FRIEND is stamped in Polished Pink and then thanks is stamped in Blackberry Bliss overlapping slightly at the top.  A Stitched Rectangle die is used to die cut the sentiment.  Please note that I moved the die over and cut a second time to fit around the sentiment.

What do you think of today’s card?   Check back tomorrow – I’ll have my 3rd and final card with this set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Looking for Something Different?

Hi!  How are you today?  Hard to believe that Sale-A-Bration is over and that March is here.  Where did the time go?

If you are looking for a set that makes an impact with the sentiment, look no further than the Biggest Wish set.  I am not sure why I waited so long to pull this one out and play with it – but I am in LOVE!  The two different fonts for the words makes it easy to mix and match. Over the next few days, I will share 3 different cards made using this set.

Biggest Wish, Hello, Friendship, Regency Park DSP, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #JanAprilMini2023

First up is this card featuring the Regency Park Designer Series Paper and generational stamping.  If you haven’t tried generational stamping before, what you do is ink up your stamp and stamp it multiple times without re-inking.  You can see that the HELLO is lighter and lighter as I stamp up the card.  This is a great way to achieve an ombre look as well.

The base of the card is Night of Navy, 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ and folded.  A piece of Basic White measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″ is stamped on the right hand side and a piece of Designer Series Paper measuring 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ is adhered on the left.  A piece of Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon runs over the edge of DSP.    The inks are Mango Melody and Night of Navy.  A few Adhesive Backed Milky Dots completes the card.

I’ll be back with card number 2 tomorrow.

If you haven’t heard the news, Stampin’ Up! released new products in the on-line store under On-Line Exclusives – you will not find these products in any catalog, so make sure you swing over to my store to check them out.  I’ll be sharing a few projects made with the Hello, Irresistible bundle on my March 7 Facebook Live.

Beautifully Happy Meets Retiring In Colors

Hi!  Happy Thursday!   How is your week going?  I hope it’s a good one.

Today I am showcasing a card made with the Beautifully Happy Sale-A-Bration set -which you can choose FREE with a $100 (US, prior to S/H and tax) order.

Beautifully Happy, In Colors 2021-2023, Flowers, Friendship, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #SAB2023

The 3 colors present in this card are Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent – part of the soon-to-be-retired 2021-2023 In Color Collection.  I love the bright pop amidst the greens.  The Beautifully Happy set is a 2-step stamp set – there is an outline image which is stamped in Jet Black StaZon and then there are 3 fill-in stamps – one for the flowers – stamped in Polished Pink, one for the big leaves – stamped in Evening Evergreen, and one for the buds – stamped in Soft Succulent.   I’ve also added some interest using the splatter stamp inked in Gray Granite.

I die-cut the stamped image with a Stitched Rectangle die and layered it on an Evening Evergreen die cut from Scalloped Contours Die set.  A piece of Evening Evergreen Sheer Ribbon is attached to the back of panel and a smaller piece is tied around in the front to create the knot.  The Basic White mat, measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″,  is stamped with the splatter stamp  as well.

The base of the card is Polished Pink and measures 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ and folded.  I didn’t add a sentiment to the front, instead, I will add it to the inside and let the flowers be the star of the card.

2021-2023 In Colors – We will be saying goodbye to this set of colors when the new Annual Catalog goes live in May.  If you love this set of colors, I encourage you to place your order now for the ink pad, a re-inker, and card stock – and any embellishments, Designer Series Paper, ribbon or Stampin’ Blends Combo packs that you are missing in your collection.  These items tend to sell-out quickly once the retiring list is announced – so get a jump and don’t miss out.  Not to mention, when you place your order before Feb 28, you’ll also earn a Sale-A-Bration item (min $50 purchase required).

Favored Flowers Birthday

Hi!  For today’s card, I am showcasing the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper that you can earn FREE until Feb 28 with a minimum $50 purchase (prior to S/H and tax) in my on-line store.

DSP, Designer Series Paper, Favored Flowers DSP, #SAB2023, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Birthday

I love when I can use our gorgeous Designer Series Paper as the star of the card.  This paper is SO pretty, it doesn’t need anything more than a ribbon and a sentiment.   The sentiment is from the Beautifully Happy Stamp set – also FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $100 purchase (prior to S/H and tax).

The sentiment is stamped on a scrap of Basic White in JetBlack StaZon and punched with the Double Oval punch.  A scrap of Petal Pink cardstock was used to punch the scallop oval from the Double Oval punch.  To finish the card, attach a piece of Petal Pink Soft Polyester Ribbon near the bottom and then use a smaller piece of the ribbon to tie a knot around it.  This method allows the ends of the ribbon to lie horizontal on the card.

The base of the card is Thick Basic White and the DSP is attached after the ribbon is attached.  The sentiment is attached using Mini Dimensionals.

Now, a little late, but here is the winner of the Counting Sheep Bundle!

Congratulations to Vonda for winning the Counting Sheep Bundle during my 18th Stampaversary Give Away!  I’ll be in touch soon to get your information to get this in the mail to you!

Thanks so much for joining me today!  Wishing you a great start to your weekend!
