a brick wall when crafting? Sometimes you just don’t have any mojo at all. It is amazing how you can sit there and try to come up with an idea and then it hits – why not play with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder and see what you can do?
I really wanted my background to look like a brick wall, so I placed a small piece of temporary adhesive on the back of my card stock before running it through the Big Shot with the embossing folder. Then I used my brayer to ink up the card stock before I removed it from the folder. This way, I didn’t mush my bricks AND the brayer only inked the raised bricks, leaving the “mortar” lines white! Isn’t that a quick and easy way to make your brick wall?
Here’s the first card I made:
Pretty cool background, right? I used Cherry Cobbler ink for my bricks.
Well, I also decided to go with a softer look, and the second one I made is this:
For this one, I used Sahara Sand to ink up my wall. The flowers and leaves were created with the Botanical Fields Builder framelits. These die cuts are so pretty. The sentiment is from Garden in Bloom.
So, what do you think? Going to try making your own brick wall?
