Favorite Color Combo

Hi!  I am in LOVE with this color combination!!

Stampin' Up!, SU! Make A Medallion, Sale-A-Bration

I came across this color combination when using the Blooms & Wishes Designer Series Paper for March’s Stamp Set of the Month club and fell in love!!  Island Indigo and Mint Macaron.  How pretty they are together!  Unfortunately, Mint Macaron will be retiring at the end of May.  Time to stock up on a refill and card stock so I can continue to make cards for my personal use with this color.

The stamp set featured on this card is the Make A Medallion Sale-A-Bration set.  I love how the two stamps intertwine with each other for my main image.  And that little corner stamp?  So pretty!  Have you earned this set for FREE yet?  No?  Well, you only have 2 more days before Sale-A-Bration ends and it is no longer available!

Have you joined my closed group for my Virtual Goodbye Sale-A-Bration Facebook party? No?  Click  here to join and then pop in at 7:30PM EST tonight and have some fun!   I will be giving away prizes and every one who places a $50 US (prior to S/H and tax) with me before Friday, March 31st at NOON EST, will receive a goody bag similar to these:

The goody bags will contain ink spots, stamps and designer series paper!

Can’t make the party?  Shop my on-line store here using Hostess Code: E2HFB3RN  and you will still get a goody bag!!

Hope to see you tonight at the party!

Thinking of Sponging?

Hi!  Welcome back!  Today I am kicking off the week with a little sponging.  This is a card we made at a workshop recently.  I had seen a similar card on Song of My Heart’s blog – she had received it from Linda, a fellow demonstrator in Australia.  So thank you, Linda, for the inspiration!

SU! Stampin' Up! Sheltering Tree

I used the Paper Doilies in the Occasions catalog – did you know that they are Very Vanilla on one side and Whisper White on the other making them perfect!!  For this technique, use the side you do NOT want facing up to do your sponging then just use the other side for our card.

This card is sponged with Delightful Dijon – one of the In Colors that will be retiring in May.  If you haven’t set, seriously consider stocking up on the In Color products now – they sell out fast and the re-inkers have started showing up on the back order report.  (And don’t forget the card stock!!)

The ribbon is one of the FREE Sale-A-Bration rewards that was still available last I knew.  It is very pretty with metallic thread weaved through it.

The sentiment is from the Sheltering Tree stamp set.

Don’t forget, I am hosting a Virtual Facebook Party on Wednesday night to say Goodbye to Sale-A-Bration.  Click this link to join in the fun!

Hey, Chick!

Hi! Back today with a card we made at the Sale-A-Bration class Saturday night.  Did you know if you place a $50 (USD) prior to S/H and tax with me -not only do you get a FREE Sale-A-Bration product from Stampin’ Up! – you get a FREE class using Sale-A-Bration products from me!  The class is held each month of Sale-A-Bration and we make 3 projects.  Long distance customers, I mail out the complete projects 1 week after the class!

Stampin' Up! SU! Hey Chick

Isn’t this chick just adorable!  I love the floppy feathers on its head.  For this card, we used the Watercolor Pencils and a blender pen.  The body is colored with the Daffodil Delight pencil, the feet with Pumpkin Pie, and the feathers on the head were done by coloring first with Melon Mambo – blending that out, then going over with the Pumpkin Pie pencil.  I thought it turned out pretty well and matches the Watermelon Wonder Designer Series Paper.

The Whisper White panel for the chick is 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ and the black mat is 2 11/16 x 2 11/16″.

What do you think?

If you place an order by March 31st with me, you will be invited to join in the final FREE Sale-A-Bration class!  Orders of $150 or more will also qualify you for the Big Sale-A-Bration Celebration party I host!  Last year 13 people qualified for this party – they were given goody bags, Make & Takes, games with prizes, and treats!  My way of thanking you for supporting my business!  Long distance customers received the same goody bags, the completed stamped projects and a prize!

Shop my on-line store here so you don’t miss out on any more fun!  Orders less than $150,  hostess code E2HFB3RN is active for your use.

Easter Treat

Hi! Today I have a little Easter Treat Pocket for you which is made using the Sale-A-Bration Pretty Pocket Cards kit!  You can get this kit for FREE with a $50 US purchase (prior to S/H and tax).

SU! Stampin' Up! Pretty Pocket Cards, Basket Bunch

The box is made by taking one of the pocket cards and doing the following:

  1. Score 1/2″ in from the existing score lines (pretty much score at the tip of the arrows).
  2. Score 1/2″ out from the original score line (this is scoring on the back panel – so on one edge – score in from the edge at 1/2″
  3. Score directly below the doily design
  4. Cut 1″ below the score line made in step 3
  5. Create tabs in the middle of the bottom by cutting on the two score lines made in steps 1 & 2.
  6. Add Tear & Tape on the middle tab
  7. Add Tear & Tape on the back side of the flap under the doily (Tear & Tape cannot be shown in the picture below as it goes on the other side)
  8. Assemble box and decorate as desired.

Here is a picture of the pocket card scored and cut:

The sentiment is from the Basket Bunch stamp set and is stamped in Pool Party ink on Whisper White card stock.  My little box holds jelly beans and a little Lindt Chocolate Bunny.

This is one of the projects my guests made last night at the FREE Sale-A-Bration they earned for placing a $50 order in the month of February.

Three new Sale-A-Bration products were released on Tuesday – have you checked them out yet?  Here they are in all their fabulousness!

Dragonfly Wishes

Hi!  Today I have another Dragonfly Card to share with you that also features the Inside The Lines Designer Series Paper you can earn FREE with a minimum $50 (US) purchase prior to S/H and tax.

This is one of the cards we did at Friday night’s Sale-A-Bration class.  This was a FREE class for those who placed a minimum $50 purchase with me during January.  The flowers were colored using the new Watercolor Pencils and a Blender pen. I like the idea of coloring only a few of the flowers – but I may go back and add a little more color to the top right block.   To get the block look, here are my measurements:

  1. Cut Designer Series Paper in a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2″ square.
  2. Cut a 2″ strip.  Then cut this strip at 2″ – that gives you a 2″ square (in the upper right) and a 1 1/2 x 2″ rectangle (lower right).
  3. Cut the 1 1/2″ strip at 1″.  This gives a 1 1/2 x 1″ rectangle (top left and a 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ rectangle (lower left).

These pieces are then adhered to a 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ black piece of card stock.

For the dragonfly, we sponged Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Bermuda Bay (I know you can’t see that color in the dragonfly – it is covered by the black detail in his body) on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock before die cutting.  It was fun to see how everyone sponged their colors – everyone had a little different dragonfly.

The sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink and is from the Avant Garden Sale-A-Bration set.

I hope you enjoyed today’s creation.  If you have the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper – how have you used it?

A Huge Thank You!

Hi!  I found out this week that I made Kylie Bertucci’s Top 10 for the January International Project Highlights!

I so appreciate all of you that voted for this card!  I will be hopping with the rest of the Top 10 winners (as well as those from December) in February.

SU! So Very Much, Delicate Details, SAB 2017

This card is for you!  The card is a single layer card featuring 2 of this year’s Sale-A-Bration sets – So Very Much and Delicate Details.  A few tips – stamp the Thank You first in the center of your card.  Then stamp the lace trim – first in Mint Macaron – I had my card square to the grid on my grid paper and was able to line up the stamp using the grid lines to make sure I stamped it straight.  I then inked the same stamp in Cucumber Crush, flipped it over and again lined it up using the grid lines as well the Mint Macaron image so that it was straight and matched the first image.  Worked like a charm!  Hope this helps if you decide to try.

You can earn either or both of these  sets for FREE with a minimum $50 (US) purchase (prior to S/H and tax!)

SU! Avant Garden

Today’s card features the set Avant Garden from Sale-A-Bration.  Such a pretty set and is great for a watercolor look.  For this card, I inked the flowers then spritzed with water before stamping on Watercolor Paper.  The flowers are stamped in Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral.  The stems are Pear Pizzazz and the sentiment and flower centers are Early Espresso.  A little of our thick sold bakers twine in Calypso Coral finishes off the card.  Very quick and easy.
