A Cart of Pumpkins

Hi!  What did you think of yesterday’s Thanksgiving Theme Blog Hop?  I hope you had fun checking out all the great projects!   Today I am continuing on with fall cards – this one featuring the Pleasant Pheasants stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.

Fall, Pumpkins, Pleasant Pheasants, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2018HolidayCatalog

I actually demonstrated how to make this card on Tuesday’s Facebook Live – Tuesday with Teresa.  Here’s the video – it is the second card.

The measurements for each of the pieces:

Base: Thick Whisper White – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″ – score at 4 1/4″ and fold in half.

Early Espresso: 5 5/16 x 4 1/16″

Designer Series Paper: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″

Early Espresso:  3 3/16″ x 4 3/16″

Whisper White: 3″ x 4″

The image was colored using ink pads and a blender pen.  The background was done using the Saran Wrap technique.  (Hard to see in the picture – better view in the video).

On the original card, I also distressed the edges of the stamped panel with my fingernail – but forgot to do that in the video.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card!  Have a wonderful day!

Couldn’t Resist

I hope you don’t mind!  But after the last wreath card using Wishing You Well, I couldn’t resist making a Christmas version.  So here it is!

Christmas, Wishing You Well, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Buffalo Check

What do you think?  I did make a few changes – for the Buffalo Check background, I used  a Mossy Meadow marker and a ruler and added lines in between the check pattern.  I also went with three colors instead of just two – I did try using just all Real Red and it just was too much.  So, I toned it down by adding in Mossy Meadow as my base card stock, in the check pattern and for the bow.

I did use Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter on the bow and berries – it just adds something special to the card.  Here’s a better view:

In case you missed it, the dimensions for the layers and a video making the Blueberry Bushel version, can be found in this post.

This truly is a beautiful set that will enhance any stampers stash.  You can purchase your own set here.

A Little Bouquet

Hi!  How are you today?  I hope doing well!  Today I have a little bouquet of flowers for you featuring the Wishing You Well stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.

Just a Note, Flowers, Wishing You Well, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2018HolidayCatalog

I am still in a Fall frame of mind and used the colors of fall for my palette for my card.  I used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze.   The card has a fun front look as I cut out  a section of the front so you can see the inside panel of the card.  Here are the dimensions:

Base – 4 1/4 x 11″.  Score at 5 1/2″.  Cut at 2″ from the score line for the top part of the front.   From the part cut off, cut 2″ piece for the bottom.

Designer Series Paper:  1 3/4″ x 4″ – need 2 pieces

Flower panel: Whisper White – 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″.  Cajun Craze Mat – 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″.

Here is the video with a demonstration on making this card:

It is a new Stampin’ Up! year and this year I am working hard to earn the trip to Maui!

Trick-or-Treat Halloween Blog Hop

Hi! Welcome to the Team Stamp It Halloween Blog Hop!  You are sure to find tons of inspiration for Halloween Fright!

My project today is this adorable mini milk carton!

Halloween, Treat Holder, Mini Milk Carton, Stampin' Up!, SU! #stampitbloghop

Isn’t it adorable?  I love the Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper – perfect for all your Halloween crafting!  In this project, I’ve paired the paper with the Seasonal Chums set in the Annual Catalog – don’t you love when you can use new products with existing ones already in your collection?

To make the Mini Milk Carton, you need a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/4″ piece of cardstock or Designer Series Paper.

  • Score on the 8 1/4″ side at 2″, 4″, 6″ and 8″.
  • Score on the 5 1/2″ side at 1 1/2″, 3 1/2″ and 5″.
  • Along the 5″ score line, make a tick mark at 1″ and 5″ along the 8 1/4″ side.
  • Use a ruler and a stylus to score diagonal lines between the 5″ and 3 1/2″ score lines from the 1″ tick mark to the lower left corner at the 3 1/2″ score line and the lower right corner at the 3 1/2″ score line.
  • Repeat above step for the 5″ tick mark.    See picture for clarity: (Dotted lines are score lines, solid lines are cut lines)

  • Cut off the lower right corner that is 1/4″ by 1 1/2″.  (Already removed in picture)
  • Create angle cuts on the top and bottom of the remaining part of the tab.
  • Cut up from the bottom to the 1 1/2″ score line at 2″, 4″ and 6″.
  • Fold on all score lines.
  • Place Tear & Tape along the tab and close the box.
  • Use Tear & Tape to seal the bottom.
  • Decorate as desired and use Baker’s Twine, Linen Thread or a Galvanized Clip to close the top of the box.

For the decorations, I used the pumpkins from Seasonal Chums.  It is stamped in Jet Black StaZon on Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  The stem is colored in Crumb Cake, the leaves in Old Olive and the face in Basic Black.

Here’s a closer view of the front and back:

On the sides, I die cut bats using the coordinating Seasonal Tag Framelits from Basic Black card stock and colored with Clear Wink of Stella:

Halloween, Seasonal Chums, Mini Milk Carton, Treat Holder, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #stampitbloghopI used one of the new Galvanized Clips to keep the top closed after filling with Halloween Treats such as Dove Milk Chocolate Caramels and Reese’s Peanutbutter Ghosts.   The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black ink on Crushed Curry cardstock and punched with the Classic Label punch.  Black solid Baker’s Twine ties the tag to the clip.

I just love how this turned out and will be making a few more to give out to family, friends and co-workers.

High Cotton

Hi!  Today I have the second card from Wednesday night’s Facebook Live.  I love how this card turned out.   I had seen a similar card on Pinterest by Cindy Stewart-Held and wanted to give it a try.

Thanks, Country Lane, Cotton, Stampin' Up!, SU!The cotton is stamped on the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper in Jet Black StaZon ink.  I colored the cotton using the Stampin’ Chalk Marker.

The circles are made using the 2″ and 2 1/4″ punches.

The ribbon is the new braided ribbon in the Holiday Catalog.  I love the frayed ends on this ribbon.

I love this suite in the catalog – it is just perfect for fall!  I colored the jug and flowers using Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen for a soft look.

I also LOVE the detail of the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder – especially on the Galvanized Metal sheet.  It is simply stunning!

Toil & Trouble

Fun with the Cauldron Bubble bundle and Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper!

Halloween Treats, Cauldron Bubble, Toil & Trouble DSP, Stampin' Up!, SU!

This past week’s Tuesday with Teresa Facebook Live featured the Cauldron Bubble bundle and coordinating Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper to make these fun Diaper Fold treat pouches!

To make the holder, you need a 6″ x 6″ piece of Designer Series Paper!  And then you can embellish any way you choose!  I used the coordinating Cauldron Bubble Stamp set and dies to make these.  Did you know, the dies cut some of the images perfectly from the Designer Series Paper as well as the stamped images?  How cool is that!

Here’s the video showcasing this fold:
