Hi! Keeping with the brayer theme from the other day, today’s card features a brayered background.
The sunset is created using the brayer. I started with Daffodil Delight ink and covered the entire piece of Whisper White. To ink up the brayer, roll the brayer in just one direction repeatedly. Do not go in a back and forth motion or you will end up with uneven coverage. Start partially off the cardstock at the top and roll the brayer across the entire length. Pick up the brayer and bring it back to the starting side (for me, that would be the left end as I am left handed) and roll over the cardstock overlapping this pass with the first one. Continue with this method all the way down the cardstock. Reink the brayer and repeat. Continue to repeat until you have the color you’d like. Repeat with Pumpkin Pie – but do not go all the way down the paper this time – end shorter so that some of the Daffodil still shows. The last color to apply is Cajun Craze -ending this one maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the way down so that the Pumpkin Pie shows.
The mountains are stamped using Gray Granite ink. I stamped the original image first, and then flipped the stamp over (as these are reversibles) and inked the backside to fill in the mountain range. I then stamped using the back side again to fill in near the bottom of the cardstock panel. Lastly, I lightly dragged the ink pad near the bottom edge to color it in. You could also do this part with the brayer for a smoother look.
The birds are stamped in Jet Black Stazon and are from the High Tide stamp set.
The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings and is punched using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
