Ouch!

Hi!  How are you?   Today I have a card I made with the Back On Your Feet stamp set from the 2020 Annual Catalog.  This is such a great set for those who need a pick me up going through a hard time.

Back On Your Feet, Get Well, Pick Me Up, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2020AnnualCatalog

I tried out the 2019-2021 Rococo Rose In Color – a color I haven’t played with much tho I’ve had it since it came out.  I do like the soft look of it – so I’ll be using it a bit more.

The sloth is colored using Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends marker and the limb with Old Olive and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends.  The bandage is Rococo Rose.  I don’t have color with the Stampin’ Blends – I’m not that good – but I am pretty happy with how this turned out.

The background is created using the Old World Paper Embossing Folder – I really like the texture it gives to the card.  The leaves are from the Birds and More Die Set.

The sentiment banner is created with the new Banner Pick-A-Punch in the August-December Mini Catalog.

Don’t forget August is Redeem Your Bonus Day Coupon month!  You can redeem them in my On-Line store by clicking the Shop button on the right.

Feel Good Wishes

Hi!  Today I am back with another Positive Thoughts card for you.

Positive Thoughts, Friend, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2020Occasions

Have I said how much I LOVE this stamp set and coordinating dies?   Truly, this is an awesome set and the fact that there are dies available (but ONLY until March 31st) makes the combination even better!

For this card, I stayed with my Neutrals and Pool Party combination (yes, I love this color combo as much I love this bundle!)  I incorporated the Scripty Embossing Folder and lightly sponged Crumb Cake ink over it to add to the texture.

The sentiment is die cut using Rectangled Stitched dies.   All the remaining pieces are cut using dies from the coordinating die set called Nature’s Thoughts.

Here is relatively the same layout, just rotated 90 degrees:

Positive Thoughts, Friend, Stampin Up!, SU!, #2020Occasions

Shop my on-line store today to get your Nature’s Thoughts dies before they are gone for good:

Don’t forget, a $50 order gets you a FREE Sale-A-Bration product as well!

A Special Balloon

Hi! I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it in November at OnStage.  It is just the cutest!

Someone Special, #2020Occasions, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Get Well

This sentiment is just perfect for a get well card – and with flu season upon us, a very cute pick-me-up for someone special.  I shared this card in this past week’s Facebook Live.  The raccoon is stamped with Early Espresso ink and a blender pen is used to color over the raccoon and spread the ink to fill it in.  This is a great technique that is quick and easy to do.

The balloon is 2-step stamping – I found it easier to stamp the solid part and then the outline for lining up the two images.  Of course, if I were to mass produce this card, I’d use my Stamparatus to make sure that the two images always align.

The image and sentiments are die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly die also found in the Occasions Catalog.

I am happy to announce, that this set will have a coordinating die set starting Feb 4 with the Coordination Product Release!  I expect these will go quickly, so don’t delay in placing that order if you purchase the set.

I’ll be posting the 2nd card using this set in the next day or so.

I Get By

with a little help from my friends.  Ok – did you sing it like I did?  LOL.  Couldn’t help it.  I saw this little guy in the Annual Catalog and he looked like he could use a little help.   Finally had a chance to play with him and wanted to share.

Back on Your Feet, Foil Embossing, Stampin' Up!, SU! #2019AnnualCatalog

Doesn’t he look like he could use a little help getting back on his feet?  I have a friend who underwent a heart transplant last week and thought this little guy might just cheer him up.    The turtle and sentiment are from the Back on Your Feet stamp set.

The background is the Noble Peacock Foil sheet measuring 3 3/4″ x 5″,  embossed with he Mosaic 3D Embossing Folder.  Isn’t that just perfect for this turtle?   Thank you to Gloria Plunkett for the great idea!

The turtle is stamped in Black StaZon ink and colored using Watercolor Pencils and a blender pen.  The Granny Apple Green and Garden Green pencils matched pretty well with the Old Olive Foil.

These are layered on Early Espresso card stock measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″.  The base is Thick Whisper White measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and folded.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card!
