Not Just For Tags

Hi!  How are you today?  How are your holiday preparations coming along?  Need a little help?  Have you checked out the Tag Buffet Project Kit in the August-December Mini?  It can be used for so much more than just tags!  Take a look!

Christmas, Tags, Cards, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #AugDec2020Mini

By adding Shaded Spruce and Whisper White cardstock, I used the elements in the kit to make quick Christmas Cards and to decorate Rectangle Tins for Gift Card holders!

Lets take a close look:

Christmas, Tags, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #AugDecMini2020

The Tags used the kit and the coordinating stamp set Tag Buffet with Shaded Spruce ink.  The kit itself contains enough components to make 30 tags – BUT, there are an additional 15 die cut pieces that you can turn into cards or more tags by just adding some cardstock.

Still need to crank out some Christmas cards?  The tags are the perfect size for a card front as well!

I paired the cards with a sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas found in the Annual Catalog (so, you don’t need to buy the coordinating set if you have Christmas sentiments on hand already).  The base is Shaded Spruce cardstock with a layer of Whisper White.  Want to spruce it up a bit more?  You could place some of the gold cord that comes in the kit behind the oval.

And lastly, the elements can be used to create Gift Card holders!

I used a strip of Shaded Spruce cardstock to wrap around the Rectangle Tin.  Then cut down a tag to decorate the top along with the cardinal die cut from the kit.  The sentiment on the left is from the Tag Buffet stamp set and the one on the right from Itty Bitty Christmas.

The Tag Buffet Project Kit is perfect for so many uses!  AND – even better, it is now 50% off!!  You can pick up this kit for just $15!!  Already done with this years tags, cards and gift giving?  Consider picking up a kit or 2 for next year!   Hurry!  At this price, this kit won’t last long!

Happy Birthday!

Hi!  Today is my birthday so I have a cute Gift Card holder to share with you featuring the Way To Goat stamp set!

Birthday, Gift Card Holder, Way To Goat, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2020AnnualCatalog

This stamp set is adorable!  I shared this card with a group of ladies during a workshop and then decided to use it during this past week’s Facebook Live.  It is just that cute not to share!

Here’s what you need:  (dimensions below are height by length)

  • Base Cardstock – 3 3/4″ x 8″ – score at 4″ and fold in half.
  • Coordinating Mat Cardstock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Coordinating Mat Cardstock – 4 1/8″ x 2 3/8″
  • Coordinating Mat Cardstock – 3″ x 3″
  • Designer Series Paper – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Designer Series Paper – 4″ x 2 1/4″

  • Designer Series Paper – 2″ x 4″
  • Neutral Cardstock – 3 5/8″ x 3 7/8″
  • Neutral Cardstock – 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″

The assembly for this card is shown in this video:

The goat is stamped in Memento Black Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends.  The one above uses Smoky Slate and Petal Pink.  In the video, I switched to Gray Granite for the goat.

One important tip – adhere the ribbon to the very base before adhering any of the layers.  If you forget this step, you could just wrap the ribbon around the back of the card as well.

The Designer Series Paper used is the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper from the 2020 Annual Catalog.  It is on sale this month for 15% off!  This paper is perfect for both male and female cards – I LOVE when my paper packs are versatile and have patterns and colors for anyone!
