Dragonfly Note

Hi!  I have a very quick card to share with you today using the Dragonfly Garden and Watercolor Shapes stamp sets in the Annual Catalog.

Friendship, Note, Dragonfly Garden, Watercolor Shapes, Stampin' Up! #simplestamping, Happy Labels

I love the clean and simple look of this card and think it is perfect for jotting down a quick note and sending it on its way.

The Watercolor Square is stamped in Balmy Blue ink.  The dragonfly is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  A Black Stampin’ Write marker is used to make the flight trail.   The sentiment is from the Happy Labels stamp set found in the January-April Mini and is also stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.

The base of the card is Thick Basic White – measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and folded.

Do you like the clean look or is to too plain?

However you spend your day, I hope it’s a good one.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just Can’t Resist

Hi!  I have another Hedgehugs card for you today – I just couldn’t resist – they are just so cute!

Hedgehugs, Friends, Hello, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I debuted this card in my Facebook Live on Feb 13th.  If you would like to see how it is made, you will find it on this page.

My base is Real Red – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and folded in half.

A layer of Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4″ scored at  1 1/4 & 1 3/8 and 1 1/2″” from the bottom is layered on top of that.  I like the dimension that the scored lines give to the card.

The Hedgehog is stamped in Soft Suede ink and then lightly shaded with the Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil and a blender pen.  The flower is colored with Real Red marker.  The Layering Squares and Stitched Shapes framelits were used to die cut the hedgehog as well as the Real Red mat layer.

The flowers were colored with Real Red and Always Artichoke Markers and die cut with the Layering Squares and coordinating Stitched Shapes framelits as well.    To give the card an added look, I cut these on a diagonal.

The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede ink and is from the A Good Day stamp set also in the Occasions Catalog.   A relatively quick card that I am sure would brighten anyone’s day.

I am still offering a FREE tutorial featuring the We All Celebrate stamp set for every $50 (US, prior to S/H and tax) purchase through Feb 28 and using Hostess Code: NYGZFRDW
