Dandelion Wishes

Hi! I’ve got a quick and easy card for your Saturday morning featuring the Dandelion Wishes set.

Smiles, Friendship, Dandelion Wishes, Stampin' Up!, SU!, Masking

The background is sponged with Balmy Blue ink. I created a mask from a piece of the card board that comes in the Designer Series Paper Packs the same size as my front panel (3 3/4 x 5″) and cut a rectangle from the middle of it to create the mask. After sponging, I stamped the single Dandelion from Dandelion Wishes in Crumb Cake ink. The sentiment is from the You Lift Me Up stamp set.

The Whisper White panel is layer on Early Espresso card stock that measures 3 7/8 x 5 1/8″. The base is Balmy Blue card stock measuring 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ on the 8 1/2″ side. Easy enough card to mass produce and you can just swap out the sentiment for a Get Well Card, Thinking of You, Thank You or Birthday.

Sunset Jungle

Hi! Back today with another card featuring the adorable Animal Outing bundle.

Animal Outing, Birthday, Sponging, Masking, Stampin' Up!, SU! The sunset is created by placing a template that had a circle die cut out of it over a Whisper White panel that measures 3 1/2 x 4 3/4″. I sponged Pineapple Punch and Grapefruit Grove for my sun.

The Rhino and Giraffe were stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and die cut using the coordinating framelits. Stampin’ Blends were used to color the animals – Smoky Slate both light and dark, Calypso Coral ligh and Pool Party light were used for the Rhino and bird while Daffodil Delight light and Crumb Cake light were used for the Giraffe.

The sentiment stamps are from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink on Old Olive card stock. This is then punched using the Classic Label punch.

The Whisper White panel is matted by a Basic Black panel measuring 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″. The base is Thick Whisper White measuring 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″ and folded.

Hi! Today I am continuing with my masked background shown last week – this time featuring the So Many Shells set.

Friendship, Shells, Beach, So Many Shells, Stampin' Up!, SU! Masking

For this card, I created a rectangular mask with the Stampin’ Trimmer. The mask measured 3 3/4″ x 5″ and I measured in 3/4″ on the sides and 1″ in for the top and bottom. The background was created by sponging Sahara Sand in the lower left corner followed by Soft Sky and ending with Marina Mist.

The shells are stamped with Crumb Cake for the more detailed shell and Blushing Bride for the 2nd step. Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen was used to color over the shells to give them a little sparkle. The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake ink.

I do love this technique – and wanted to show it could be used for any type of card. I hope you give it a try!

Flowers and Sunset

Hi! Today I have a card that I demonstrated on this past Tuesday’s with Teresa Facebook Live. The theme was masking using Die Cuts.

Flowers, Thinking of You, Wild About Flowers, Masking, Die Cuts, Stampin' Up!, SU!

I created a mask using an Oval Framelit and a piece of the white cardboard that is in the back of the Designer Series Packs of paper. Then I lay that over my Whisper White cardstock and sponged my background using Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive ink pads.

The flowers are from Wild About Flowers and stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink. The sentiment is from Heartfelt Blooms which is a Sale-A-Bration set which you can earn FREE by shopping in my on-line store. But hurry! This special ends March 31st and the set will no longer be available!

This stamped panel is mounted a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Here are the dimensions for each layer:

Sparkly Butterfly

Hi! Today I have a card for you that was inspired by Kylie Bertucci’s card here.

My version uses the Bold Butterfly detailed thinlet to create my mask for my background. I sponged Watermelon Wonder over my mask. The sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases – I just love the font in that set. I added a bit of sparkle to my butterfly using the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen. Here is a closer look at that:

I just love how this card turned out! A little inky, but fun, technique – and a great way to use your dies!

Sunset Bird

Hi! Welcome back! Today I am playing along with this week’s Global Design Project Sketch Challenge – #GDP042 – using the new Best Birds bundle.

SU! Best Birds, SU! Layering Circles Framelits

I sponged the sunset by creating a circle mask the same size as my card front – makes it easy to line up and achieve the look I wanted. The circle template is made using the largest circle in the Layering Circles framelits. The bird and branch were first inked using markers directly on the stamp – and then shaded in using a blender pen and ink pads. I like that I was able to get the details from the outline but still add muted color using the blender pen.

SU! Suite Sayings, Hearts Mask

I hadn’t had a chance to play with my heart mask too much, and thought this the perfect reason to break it out and play. I tried a variety of colors – all pink, all red, a mix of both pink and red, and then decided to go bright and make a rainbow of hearts. What do you think?

The sentiment is from the Suite Sayings set in the Occasions catalog and just perfect to let those near and dear to you how they make you feel. And while it doesn’t show too well in this picture, the Pacific Point Stitched satin ribbon is so shiny – I LOVE it!!
