Fabulous Fancy Flora

Hi!  Happy Friday! Today I have a One Sheet Wonder (OSW) to share with you using the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper in the January-April Mini Catalog.

I had wanted to create a 6″x6″ OSW to help my customers use the papers they received in their Designer Series Paper Share for this Mini and for Sale-A-Bration.  Here is my cutting layout for the paper:

One Sheet Wonder, OSW, Designer Series Paper, DSP, Fancy Flora, Stampiin' Up!, #JanAprilMini2023

Cut the 6″x6″ in half so you have 2 pieces that are 3″ x 6″.  Cut one of the pieces in half so you have 2 pieces measuring 3″x3″.  Cut the second 3″x6″ at 4″, so you have a 4″x3″ and 2″x3″.  Cut the 4″x3″ into 3 1″ pieces – keeping them in order.

Here is Card 1:

Fancy Flora DSP, Charming Sentiments, OSW, Stampin' Up!, #JanAprilMini2023

The base of the card is Basic White Thick cardstock, measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4″ and folded.  The 3″x3″ DSP is matted on a piece of Soft Suede cardstock measuring 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″.  The layer behind is Soft Suede cardstock measuring 2″ x 5 1/2″ and embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.  The sentiment is from Charming Sentiments in the Annual Catalog and stamped with Soft Succulent Ink.

Here is Card 2:

Fancy Flora, OSW, Campology, Grove Dies, Book Binding Technique, Stampin' Up!, #AnnualCatalog2023, #JanAprilMini2023

For Card 2, I flipped over the Designer Series Paper to make a masculine card.  I also decided to do the Book Binding Technique – which is very easy.  The base of the card is Basic White,  measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and 5″.  Fold as normal at 4 1/4″.  Fold up on the 5″ score line.  Attach of piece of Burlap ribbon using Tear & Tape to the front of the card between the two folds.  Then use two strips of Tear & Tape on the inside between the two folds to adhere the 3/4″ strip to create the binding.  Attach the two pieces of Designer Series Paper to a piece of Soft Suede cardstock measuring 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″.  Attach to the card base.  Stamp the sentiment from Charming Sentiments in Soft Suede ink on a scrap of Basic White and die cut with coordinating die.  Stamp the trees from Campology on a piece of Basic White measuring 2″ x 3 1/2″ in Evening Evergreen ink.  Use a Soft Suede Stampin’ Write marker to color in the trunks of the trees.  Attach to a piece of Soft Suede card stock measuring 2 1/8″ x 3 5/8″ and adhere to card front.   Die cut a deer using the Grove dies from Early Espresso scrap.  Attach to card front  Attach sentiment at bottom.

Here is Card 3:

OSW, Fancy Flora, Charming Sentiments, Two-Tone Flora, Stampin' Up!, #JanAprilMini2023

I love this layout – and I am sure you have seen it in the past here on my blog.  But if not, I highly encourage you to use it as I believe you’ll love it as much as I do.  Attach the 1″x4″ pieces of  DSP to 1 1/8″ x 4 1/8″ strips of Soft Suede cardstock.  Similar to the DSP, you can start with a piece of cardstock measuring 3 3/8″ x 4 1/8″, then cut into 3- 1 1/8″ strips.  The base of this card is Basic White Thick cardstock measuring 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ and folded.  You can stagger the placement of the strips as I did, or you can align them across your card front.  Using the large flower from the Two-Tone Flora stamp set, stamp the base of the flower in Crumb Cake ink and the details in Soft Suede ink.  Die cut with coordinating dies.  Stamp the leaves in Soft Succulent and die cut with coordinating dies.  Stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy ink on a scrap of Basic White and die cut with the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes die.  Attach the flower and leaves to the card front and then attach the sentiment.

Here is the FaceBook Live I did showcasing the cuts and how each card was made:

Vintage Fall

Hi! How are you today?  I bit chilly this morning running my youngest to school but it should warm up as the day goes on.  Fall is my favorite time of year – I love seeing all the color and the smell in the air on a crisp fall day just can’t be beat.   I made this card for a swap I was in using the Z-Joy Fold combination.

SU! Vintage Leaves, Lovely as a Tree

It combines two of my favorite sets – Vintage Leaves and Lovely as a Tree.  I needed to make 8 of these cards, so I also incorporated the One Sheet Wonder technique.  For that technique, I took an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped all over it with the different leaves from the two sets in 3 different colors.   After you have finished stamping, cut it up.  In my case, I cut the sheet into 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 rectangles – which yielded exactly what I needed.  What I love about this – no two cards are exactly alike!

For the Z-Joy Fold, here is what you do:

Base – 4 1/4 x 11″ – score along the 11″ side at 5 1/2 and 8 1/4. Fold up on the 5 1/2″ score and  down on the 8 1/4″ score line.

For the Joy Panel – 3″ x 8″ – score at 4″

Attach the back of the Joy Panel to the back of the Z panel so the opening overlaps the “Mountain” fold at 8 1/4″

Add an element to tuck the front of the Joy Panel (in my case it is the leaf on the lower left) behind to help the card keep its shape.

Pretty easy to do and oh so cute!

Hope you enjoyed today’s card!

One Sheet…Wrap Up

Hi!  Thanks for sticking with me through four posts of One Sheet Wonder.  I did have fun making all these cards and think the final set would make a wonderful gift.  At a minimum, I have built up my card stash for the new year!  My Tin of Cards is now full!

Today I have the final three cards as well as the cut map I used for my 12×12 Designer Paper and a picture of all 12 cards.

First up, this Hello card.  I did add another designer paper to this card, the polka dot paper is from the Subtles Designer Paper stack – I truly LOVE color family paper stacks – they give you every color in the family and the patterns can be used for just about any project.  The sentiment is taken from the Tin of Cards stamp set.  The flower is made using the Botanical Bloom framelits and the center of the flower is accented with a sparkling enamel dot from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit.

SU! Birthday Bouquet, Tin of Cards, One Sheet Wonder

Next up, this cute little Just Because card.  Hard to see in this picture, but I added a sequin and a rhinestone to the blue flowers nearest the center of each square.  It adds just a little interest to the Designer Paper and the card overall.  I embossed the background using the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder (which is retired).  The sentiment is from the Tin of Cards, punched out with the Washi Label punch and popped up on a large oval.

And finally, the last card.  Have I mentioned that I like pockets?  This is a cute little pocket on the front of the card that holds our sentiment.  A little tag adorned with ribbon and one of the 2015-2017 In Color flowers.  Once again I used a piece of the designer paper from the Subtles paper stack and a sentiment from Tin of Cards.

SU! Birthday Bouquet, One Sheet Wonder, Tin of Cards

There you have it – the last of the One Sheet Wonder cards.  Here is the cutting map that I used for my 12×12 piece of Designer Series Paper:

SU! One Sheet Wonder Map

And lastly, a complete picture of all my cards in order from 1-12 following the pieces on the map above:

SU! Birthday Boutique, Tin of Cards, Fabulous Four, Grateful Bunch, Crazy For You, Dozen Thoughts,

Hopefully from the last two pictures, you can get an idea of what I did.  If you need any more information or clarification, please ask!

So, what do you think?  Are you glad you stayed with me over the past two weeks?

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stamping!
