Sending Sunshine

Hi!  Today I am sharing with you the cards I made using the June Paper Pumpkin Kit!  I LOVE this kit – and it is a great way to send a little happiness and brighten someone’s day.

Paper Pumpkin, Sunshine, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #SendingSunshine, #PaperPumpkin

The kit came with the colored card bases, the die cut lemons and leaves, the black polka dot paper, blank sentiment pieces and the sequins.   The sentiment was part of the stamp set as well.  The ink spot for this kit was Basic Black.  The only stamping for this card is the sentiment.

Have you heard of Paper Pumpkin?  No?  Well, let me give you some details.  Paper Pumpkin is a monthly kit that is delivered right to your door!  The cost of the kit is $22 plus tax.   Shipping is already included in the price!    The Kit comes complete with stamp set, ink spot, adhesives (dimensionals or glue dots), embellishments and the consumables to create the project.  Some times it will be a card kit – like June’s and sometimes it may be treat packaging or a home decor item.   You just don’t know!  Tho I can give you hints if you like!

What else?  There is ZERO obligation to continue your subscription – you can drop at any time!  Or, if you need a break, you can suspend your subscription for a month.   I have a few subscribers who prefer card kits only – so I give them a heads up when I see a kit coming out that may not be cards (or one that is a mix of cards and treat holders) so they can decide if they want to get it or suspend their account for that month.

AND, wait there’s more!  Each month I host a Paper Pumpkin Zoom Party!  We get together on the last Thursday of the month and work on putting together Paper Pumpkin kits – either the current one that just arrived, or a past one from the pile.  It is a fun night and it is FREE to just chat and create with Paper Pumpkin.

Here is another  card from the June Kit:

For this one, I stamped the Sun, dashed lines and the sentiment.  This kit came with plenty of extra pieces, so I can make a few more cards by just adding card stock for the bases.  A very good deal for just $22 a month!

Fun With Paper Pumpkin

Hi!  Today I have an alternative project for the July 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit!  Thanks to Nancy for the idea that you’ll find here.

I love how these turned out!

Paper Pumpkin, July 2018, Stampin' Up!, SU!

The kit makes 3×3 note cards – which are very cute – but I don’t typically use that size, so I took my supplies and am making Post-It Note holders that would be sure to brighten anyone’s desk!

Here are the directions:

  • Base:  Cut a piece of cardstock 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and score at 2″, 4″ and 4 1/2″
  • Easel Front: Piece of Whisper White cardstock 3 1/2″ x 4″
  • Plaid backgrounds – Cut the tissue paper from the kit 3 1/2″ x 4″ – need 2
  • Cut the 3×3 note cards in half (need 1 per holder)

Fold on all score lines for the base.  Use one of the plaid pieces and attach to the inside (where there are no folds).  Attach the second plaid piece to the 3 1/2″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.   Attach this piece to the bottom only of the front of the base (the 3 1/2″ x 2″ fold section)  It is easiest to apply your adhesive to the front flap of the base so that you do not go above the score line.

Here is a side view of the holder so you can see how the easel looks and how the plaid panel is attached  at just the bottom:

Use Tear and Tape and to adhere the 3″ x 3″ sticky pad to the inside of the base.

Stamp the border from the Paper Pumpkin stamp set in Soft Suede ink around all 4 sides of the Crumb Cake piece.  Adhere one of the Vellum plaid pieces to the top.  Adhere the fruit and leaf die-cuts.  Wrap ribbon around the panel.  Stamp a sentiment in Soft Suede ink to one of the Whisper White labels in the kit.  Attach with dimensionals.   Attach this entire panel to the plaid front piece using dimensionals.

A Pop of Paradise

Hi!  Today I am so excited to share with  you some of the cards I made using the August Paper Pumpkin kit!!  As most know, I get the kit every month, but rarely do I sit down and do it.  This one, I did!!  I LOVE IT!!

Giftable Greetings Paper Pumpkin, Paper Pumpkin, Stampin' Up!, SU!

The kit is called Giftable Greetings and comes with 8 cards and a gorgeous box with a clear lid to put them in so you can gift them to a friend or family member!  The colors are so bright and cheerful – and there are tons of supplies – so I’ll be making more than 8 cards using other card stock and Designer Series Paper.   The kit has 6 stamped Thanks ovals, 6 stamped Congrats ovals and 6 blank ovals.  Since I don’t need quite so many Congrats cards, I flipped some of those over and created Hello and Happy Birthday cards instead.  I still have 10 ovals on which to stamp more sentiments!

Here is a closer view of some of the cards.  These two use the pre-stamped sentiments that come in the kit.

This next one uses the sentiment from Birthday Blooms.  I also rotated the card to make it landscape vs portrait.  The sentiment is stamped in Calypso Coral.

This next one I used the hello stamp from Hello, Friend – the embossing kit coordinating stamp set.  It is stamped in Pool Party ink:

Are these cards gorgeous or what?  The flowers remind me a bit of Hawaii – thus a little pop of paradise.
