Turtle Love

Hi!  The Turtle Friends bundle in the Annual Catalog is my favorite.  He is just adorable and will make fabulous cards for any occasions.

Birthday, Belated, Turtle Friends, Stampin' Up!, SU!, #2021AnnualCatalog

I made this card following a sketch challenge from the CASE-ing Tuesday Facebook Group.     The Designer Series Paper is a Host item that you can earn with a $150 (prior to S/H and tax) purchase or by hosting a workshop or catalog party with your family and friends that reaches a minimum of $150.  The colors of this paper are so bright and cheerful – I love them.

The card base is Granny Apple Green.  The turtle is stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake card stock and punched with the coordinating punch.  The shell is Granny Apple Green ink on Basic White cardstock.  While the punch does not do just the shell, you can use it to punch and just trim the bottom of the shell.   The hat is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink and fussy cut with Paper Snips.  It is colored with Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green markers.

The sentiment is stamped in Granny Apple Green ink as well.  The turtle is attached using dimensionals.  A few of the Artistry Blooms Adhesive backed sequins finishes it off.

Here is a link to the sketch.

A Sketch Challenge

Hi.  Today I am playing along with this week’s Freshly Made Sketch #282.

Stampin' Up! SU! Basket Bunch, Little Cuties

For this card, I used the little chick from the Basket Bunch set and the coordinating dies to cut him out.  He is colored with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin pie markers.  The sentiment is from the Little Cuties stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch, Weather Together, SU!

For this one, I used the daffodil flower from the Basket Bunch set.  The sentiment is from Weather Together.  I chose to stamp the sentiment around the outside for this one.  The smallest and largest Square Stitched Framelits were used to die cut the squares.  The flowers are Daffodil Delight and the background is Soft Suede.

Lastly, I made this one:Stampin' Up! SU! Basket Bunch, That's The Tag

This one uses the flower from Basket Bunch and the sentiment from That’s The Tag.  I distressed the edges of the Island Indigo to give a little dimension to the panel.  The base and flowers are Soft Sky.

All 3 cards are 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 – a fun size to play with from the traditional A2 size.

What’s the last non-traditional size card you made?

Best Fishes

Hi!  Did you know that there are some great layouts that work wonderfully for using up your Designer Series Paper scraps?  I decided to play along with one of the layouts for today’s post.

SU! Jar of Love, By the Shore

Isn’t this a great layout? You could do varying widths and lengths and use any Designer Paper that you want! The Designer Paper used on this card is By the Shore.  The sentiment and fish are from the Jar of Love stamp set.  I have quite a few birthday cards to send out this month and this will be one of them.

Since I already had strips of the Designer Paper laying around, I also made this card – just flipped two of the strips over to the other side:

SU! Jar of Love, By the Shore

Literally, I spent 15 minutes to make both cards.  Very quick – but still – very cute!

And, to top it off, Stampin’ Up! is having a special on select Designer Series Paper this month – buy 3 packs of any of these papers, and get a 4th FREE!  Mix and match – they don’t all have to be the same!  Who doesn’t love a deal!

Here are a few other layout ideas to use those scraps:

I’ll have to give the other 2 layouts a try another day.  Off to start my day!
